We didn't want to leave!

What a lovely property set in the pine forest of the Pine/Strawberry area! The house was spotlessly clean, had an open floor plan that was beautifully decorated, yet was homey and comfortable. There is plenty of room to eat, play games, watch TV, or sit outside and watch the elk (in the yard) every evening. There is a fenced area aside the house that was perfect for our dog to explore and 'utilize'. Adam, the owner, was in constant contact to answer questions and recommend restaurants, places to explore, etc. We took day trips to go kayaking on the Verde River and visited the Lowell Observatory. The Rim drive is outstanding. We highly recommend!!!

Strawberry Family Trip

We had a wonderful stay at Fossil Creek Cabin. The property was extremely clean and large enough for our family. We used the game room every night for pool and shuffleboard, and played pickle ball and basketball outside. It’s a quick 5 minute drive to Pine where we went for groceries and had dinner at the Old County Inn, Mamajoes and That Brewery. And of course, The Pie Bar. We also cooked meals in the cabin which was well stocked to cook large meals. Communication with the owner, Adam, was fantastic. We would definitely return for another get-away!

Great space for a big group

We had a great time up at Fossil Creek. There were 10 of us and we ended up having tons of space after booking the game room and casita. Having a large common area in the main cabin with 2 good sized tables was great. We did quite a bit of cooking, so having a fully stocked kitchen was wonderful. The cabin is very close to both Strawberry and Pine which made it easy to pop into town when we needed anything, or just to pick up some delicious empanadas at PIEbar.

Christmas Tree Hunting Trip 2024

Overall Fantastic!

The house was a great getaway for our group of four adult couples. Plenty of games to play, a well-stocked kitchen, and very clean. Adam was an outstanding host and was incredibly responsive and accommodating from the beginning of the booking process through our checkout. Highly recommended!

Magical Mountain Cabin

We needed a getaway, and this was the perfect spot! Adam’s home has an energy of peace, calm and comfort that can be felt while viewing the pictures. Walking through the door we exhaled deeply. This was the perfect spot to escape from the world and just be. The deck was our morning hang out to enjoy coffee, read, listen to the bugling elk, or watch them as they meandered through the yard and beyond. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the cabin, reading, napping, cooking/grilling meals, playing games, doing puzzles, shooting pool, playing shuffleboard, and enjoying every minute of being away in the majestic magical mountains. The cabin had everything we could possibly need. It’s beautifully done and carefully curated to welcome guests and charm them into never wanting to leave. There were 5 of us and the main cabin along with the game room was perfect for us but next time we’ll bring more friends and family as the bunkroom and casita are smartly done and perfect for bigger groups. We’ll be back!

Fabulous summer getaway

We had the best time and will definitely book again. The cabin was beautiful and just like the pictures and descriptions. During the day we would hike and explore in nearby Payson and Pine and at night we played games, watched movies and had a blast in the game room. So much fun. Adam was the most gracious host. Thank you for the awesome experience and family memories.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We such a wonderful weekend, and Adam was so great at communicating from the day we confirmed the booking until the day of our departure. The early check-in option gave us the needed flexibility to make the most of our weekend. This is truly a special property with beautiful features and touches that make for the perfect quick getaway. The home is well stocked with all of the essentials, and with the gas fireplace at the center of the home makes it so cozy and inviting. We really enjoyed and took full advantage of the large wrap-around porch for early morning elk watching with our coffee and taking in the evening sunset. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Book this house!

We had an amazing visit. The house is nestled in the pine trees. There is a nice sized yard with benches and fire pit so you can get your nature on. The house is beautiful but most importantly to me - very clean! Awesome layout - we spent most of our time on the balcony or in the game room. I will be back! thank you

Clean and beautiful

Our family loved this place. Very clean and spacious! kitchen was greatly equipped with everything you need to make cooking a breeze. The game room was our kid's favorite! We would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends amd family!

nice family place

the remodeled kitchen is amazing! and the bathrooms too. Kids liked the bunk house. The outdoor deck chairs are made of wood and give you splinters. If you want to sit outside, bring your own chairs.

Loved Our Stay

This was a great place to get away for a few days. The house was very clean, modern and had all the necessities that we needed to make us feel at home. It’s also close to a lot of things to do In the area. The property manager communicated very well from the moment we reserved the house up to right after we left. He was very friendly and quick to get back with any questions or concerns that we had. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing and peaceful

Great out of the way place to unwind and engage with nature. Plenty of walking areas. Bring your food and plan to eat in as the kitchen is awesome. Bring deck chairs as those provided are not comfortable. Great place on the expensive side of other available options.

Amazing Family Retreat

From the moment I booked this beautiful cabin, Adam was so gracious in responding to all our needs & questions. Our family with our 2 sons and grandkids, thoroughly enjoyed our days in this special cabin retreat. The wonderful new kitchen & baths were beautiful with plenty of hot water, towels and a plethora of kitchen accessories. We enjoyed the warmth of the inside fireplace and the outside fire pit each night and especially enjoyed playing the many games with our grandkids. Thanks for an amazing family weekend in your beautiful home!

Wonderful property with great host!

Our first VRBO experience and we really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had new improvements we were not expecting based on the original property details but the host communicated them well in advance of our stay. We greatly appreciated the host's responsiveness to any and all questions we had. Everything we needed to know about the house and the area was well laid out for us in advance The house was very clean, well decorated, with a well equipped kitchen. We were there during Christmas, and the host even insured there was a decorated tree for the family to enjoy. We loved the location which was in a small neighborhood, not too far from a small grocery store, restaurants, and local stores and gift shops. The Wi-Fi and multiple TV's allowed us to do some remote work and entertain us with many Christmas specials. We did bring our two dogs and they loved the fenced in yard, as did we since we didn't have to worry about them getting out. They also enjoyed seeing the morning elk. Would definitely recommend the house and host.
