Mountain Summit House in Pisgah Forest - Brevard, NC

  • Enjoy long range views of Mount Pisgah and a panorama of the Pisgah Range (180 degrees year-round) from the western side of a vast wrap-around, 100% covered deck. As well as long range views from the east side and covered salt water hot tub.

    This family-owned and cherished 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home is situated on the summit of one of the highest elevations in northeast Pisgah Forest, conveniently located just five minutes from places like Oskar Blues Brewery, The Hub & Pisgah Tavern, Sycamore Cycles and Ecusta Brewing. And only 10 minutes to downtown Brevard, and 25 minutes to downtown Hendersonville.

    Ideally Suited for:

    - Multi-generation families. Our family vacation home is very popular with families of grandparents and their adult kids and grandchildren of all ages.

    - Mom, dad and the kids.

    - Two young families. Plenty of privacy for two couples with kids, who will thrive in the great outdoors (manicured lawns for cornhole or opens spaces to run free). And a well-equipped kitchen and Weber grill for cooking large meals.

    - Girls / guys trips. Great setup for 3 – 6 single folks (6 beds total).

    - Mountain or road bikers who prefer a luxury setup.

    - Honeymooners or couples looking for a special vacation getaway.

    - Any outdoor enthusiasts. From hiking, biking, fly fishing, to waterfall explorers or motorcyclists.

    When booking during wintertime:

    Our home is located on a very private mountain road shared by only three residences. The road is paved and was recently resurfaced, but it is somewhat narrow and steep in a few sections.

    Traffic is extremely rare, adding to the property’s privacy and peaceful setting. However, during winter months, snow or ice may make the road difficult or temporarily impassable.

    Guests are encouraged to purchase trip insurance to protect against unexpected weather-related access issues.

Beautiful Property

This property is absolutely gorgeous, and there is plenty to do in the area for all ages. Paul was wonderful, he answered all our questions promptly and is very knowledgeable of the area. We would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful piece of property. Views of surrounding mountains and valleys were amazing. The house easily accommodated our group of 5 adults and two small children. Rooms are spacious. Wrap around deck is very nice. We loved the fire pit. The owner had an ample supply of wood which we freely burned . Very convenient to Brevard and surrounding areas. We would rent again if we came back this way.

Best house in the area

Our four couples spend a long weekend in the area each year. This house was by far the best! Sleeps 8 nicely, great porch, full kitchen, very good beds, and very clean, Host was great. Will return.

magical mountain views

Absolutely stunning views from every direction, beautiful and well kept home, comfortable, well stocked, hot tub and ping pong were favorites, beautiful wrap around deck. Excellent communication with owners who truly care for their home and guests. We can not wait to go back!

Mountain Getaway

This was a fabulous house with the most beautiful views. A great vase for exploring all the local sights, hikes & waterfalls. Our group ranged from Age 5 to 74 and it was perfect for all.

Beautiful home, easy access to area

Lovely place. Worked out well, two older adults and then younger couple with two children (3 and 5). Sleeping arrangements worked well, room to play and also for privacy if desired. Great hot tub and view, especially in the morning as the fog settled in the valley, were beautiful.

Mountain Getaway

The property was accurately described on the VRBO Website. My Family enjoyed all the property had to offer. Paul was incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to any issue. We cannot wait to go back.

The property is very beautiful and private. A true retreat. Attention to detail is evident throughout the property. Our multigenerational group enjoyed our stay. We would like to return again!

Great house, location and views!

This house is cozy and well stocked. Games and kitchen supplies are all organized and plentiful. The yard is beautiful and the views are spectacular. There is an awesome hot tub and it’s just minutes from many beautiful waterfalls. Awesome place and very nice people to work with.

Wonderful mountain retreat

This is a gorgeous house with amazing mountain views. Excellent host and good communication throughout the process. Our family/kids loved this house. Plenty of room, great set up and a world-class porch/deck to enjoy the mountains and sunsets. Easy access to Pisgah and Brevard. We will definitely rent again from this host.

Beautiful

We love this place. It is our second year and enjoyed it both times. The house is great with a stellar view and close in proximity to many great hikes, breweries, towns and orchards. Paul is responsive and friendly. We plan to return!

Wonderful spot for family vacation

The property is wonderful and views are stunning! Most of our time was spent on the patio. House had everything we needed for our family vacation. Plenty of room for 8 of us. Paul was very communicative and provided tons of local recommendations. No issues with check in or check out.

Perfect Getaway

We traveled to the area to spend time with family and friends this house was perfect! Plenty of room for our kids and their friends…the pictures don’t do the house or the area justice. The daily sunrises and sunsets were something out of a movie…we will absolutlely be back!!!
