Mountain Home with Privacy near Pisgah National Forest.

  • Known as “Mountain View”, this cabin is located on 64 privately-owned acres atop Mine Mountain, which is about ten minutes from the entrance to Pisgah Forest. The cabin features two bedrooms (1 king and 1 Queen), two baths, a modern kitchen with eat-in island, and a majestic stacked-stone fireplace. The cabin also contains a bunk bed located in a small nook off of the great room (for a total of 4 beds). In addition, this cabin provides Direct TV, a washer and dryer, and a large deck with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. The deck features a grill, an outdoor dining area, and plenty of covered seating to take advantage of the beautiful vistas. This cabin is well-suited to groups that include two couples, since the cabin contains two separate guest suites.

    Our cabins are professionally cleaned and provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, firewood and propane for the grill.

It was wonderful hanging and cooking out on the deck. Interior was beautiful and very clean. The deck and siding could use a fresh coat of stain. I felt the price was an excellent value. Paid the same price I would have for a 2 bedroom hotel, but had all the privacy and relaxed atmosphere we wanted.

The cabin was such a great getaway. It was very clean, nice and so peaceful! There was an issue with a carbon monoxide detector when we checked in, but after calling Mandi, a handyman was out in about 30 minutes and fixed the problem. Highly recommend!

This was our 2nd stay in this cabin and have created some great family memories. We love the location and the view, but it could use some updating to beds, bedding, and furnishings. The doors on both armoires do not close properly and the outdoor furnishings need to be cleaned or updated. We don't watch much TV on vacation, but the pocket sized TVs are disappointing when we do. I would love to stay in this cabin again, but not without some updating.

This cabin is very nice…perfect for my wife and myself. As previous VRBO owners we felt the cabin was clean well stocked (cooking utensils, towels, bathroom supplies…soap lotion and shampoo, washer dryer etc.) and presented very nicely. Instructions for check out, operating the AV equipment were very clear and concise. There was s basket filled with snacks on the kitchen counter which was a nice touch. The king sized bed was very comfortable.The cabin is on 64 acres but the property is not walkable (only around the cabin) but super peaceful. For visitors who may be allergic to poison ivy, there is a significant amount on the right side of the cabin near the back and on a tree next to the deck. This was not an issue for us just a heads up for those who may have extreme allergies.Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing on the deck, great views, beautiful cabin. Loved the use of the gas grill and the great kitchen. Long drive up the mountain but well worth it.

Secluded forest retreat

Peaceful and relaxing!

We really enjoyed our stay. We visited in December and really enjoyed the sunrises over the mountains. The fireplace was great and we also thought the Christmas tree was a nice touch. We would stay here again!

Wonderful cabin

We had the best time at this cabin! The views were wonderful. The house was very clean, check in was super simple, directions were spot on and beds were very comfy. We would love to rent this cabin in the future.
