This place is even more amazing than the pictures can ever show!! The attention to details for guests is absolutely incredible. You truly feel that you are in a tropical oasis. The island is not crowded and I was literally the only person on the beach some days!! We will definitely be coming back.

We stay at a lot of VRBO rentals and I must compliment Jay and Carrie for being the sweetest and most accommodating hosts we have encountered. Everything was better in person than advertised. Very helpful and responsive in helping us with recommendations for this unique island location such as trusted local transportation providers, golf cart rentals, etc. Thanks for a great exposure to the magic and uniqueness of Palm Island.

The cottage had everything we needed and more, it was beautifully decorated, with a Caribbean Island vibe! Great location, very close to the beach and there is a dock for boating and fishing. The backyard area with the pool was so pretty, with lots of comfy chairs to sunbath or read a book. The whole property is a beautiful oasis! Jay and Carrie were fantastic hosts, they were quick to answer any questions we had and went above and beyond to help us with left behind medications. They had a wonderful welcoming basket of goodies, fruit and even a bottle of wine! The beaches are beautiful and uncrowded and we had a lot of fun exploring the island on our golf cart. It was nice to have a restaurant on the island, which was very good and reasonably priced. Be sure to visit the ice cream shop too! The island is quiet and the perfect get away. Thank you Jay and Carrie for a wonderful island vacation!

Our family has been traveling to Palm Island since 2007. This house was amazing — it has a unique level of coziness and an island vibe that's hard to find in the more modern homes on the island. If you have the chance to go with your close family, it will be a magical experience. The hosts, Jay and Carrie, are very responsive and make sure you feel truly welcome in their home.

Perfect Island Getaway. True Paradise

My family and I spent a week in paradise cottage. We wanted to unplug from our busy lives. And this is the place.Grab your supplies at Publix on the mainland.Take the car ferry in to the island.Get your golf cart.Put your flip flops.Get ready to unwind.The cottage is so well appointed. Carrie and Jay are great host. See you guys next year.PS: The island was hit by storms in the last two years. They are recovering and Rum Bay at the Palm island Resort is open. Don’t forget to go to Coconuts for Ice Cream. BBQ by the pool. And put out a fishing line in the dock. There is some huge redfish out there. Take the golf cart to the beach nearby. Safe for swimming. Enjoy

EXCELLENCE

This is our 3rd stay on Palm Island and it didn’t disappoint!! Carrie and Jay are the sweetest, most accommodating hosts EVER! I had mentioned at my booking that my husband and I would be celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the balloons, #24, as soon as we entered the cottage!! How thoughtful!!Carrie and Jay thought of everything needed for our stay and MORE! A basket filled with such a bounty of beach snacks (I’m STILL enjoying them on the 17 hour drive home!) The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need. Plenty of beach towels and chairs for the many trips to the beach!This booking was everything it says AND MORE! Carrie was so helpful and quick to respond with any questions or recommendations we asked.The cottage is absolutely beautiful! Such tasteful decor and yet a comfortable homey vibe. The beds were so comfortable and the entire cottage was spotless!We loved the dock just out the back door and the pool was always a family favorite!We would most definitely stay at Paradise cottage again!! Thank you Carrie and Jay! See you soon!

Paradise - a true home away from home!

This is our 3rd time staying at Paradise Cottage and since our last visit it has been completely updated and remodeled. It's absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a private retreat with your friends and family. It has a fully stocked kitchen, pool, private dock, grill...really everything to make this a home. The beautiful blue waters of the Gulf are just steps away! My family enjoyed mornings in the pool, afternoons looking for shark teeth at the beach and evenings watching the stunning sunsets at the beach. I would highly recommend this house!

Absolute Paradise!!

This is our second time visiting Paradise Cottage and it never disappoints! Palm Island is a beautiful, quiet, private island that is definitely for families looking for a relaxing island get away. The home itself is absolutely beautiful and has no steps(which is unusual on the island), but is amazing for us since we have an elderly person traveling with us and a young adult with cerebral palsy. The cottage is comfortable, clean, and spacious…and the best part is that the pool is its own private oasis! The beach is a short, five minute walk and there is private fishing off of the dock in the back if you’d like to do that! The hosts Carrie & Jay are close by and are very attentive and helpful if you should need anything! We will definitely be Back to this little slice of paradise!

Awesome time at Paradise Cottage

Jay and Carrie are fantastic hosts! The cottage had everything we needed for a much needed weeklong vacation on the island with our family. The cottage has a great location, deep dock, total privacy in the backyard by the pool and in general is a beautiful tucked in oasis. We will definitely be staying with them again. Ultimate Get Away

This property is fantastic. The house is extremely well appointed - from the well equipped kitchen and bathrooms to the sunglass cleaner! We have never stayed at such a well stocked home. The furniture was comfortable as well as the bed. So many places to sit and relax outside. The pool was clean and refreshing. The private backyard with all the palms and flowers was so relaxing. The solar tiki's at night brought such a warm, relaxing evening - every night from our view on the comfortable lanai. Fishing off the dock was grand, only overshadowed by the manatee. The beaches were clean, private and such amazing views. The quiet, relaxing nature of the cottage was truly a vacation in paradise. Jay and Carrie are the epitome of warm, welcoming hosts. The gift basket was such a wonderful surprise - and well enjoyed. They have thought of everything any guest would need and enjoy for a stay at their cottage. This was our first stay at Paradise Cottage, but it will not be our last. Our stay was everything we imagined and much more. The house is very comfortable and well appointed and the back yard area - so private and so much to see, hear and take in. Simply stunning views!!! A heavenly place!

Paradise Cottage is so very charming and has everything one needs for a stay on the island. We loved fishing off the dock, even spotting a dolphin! We loved kayaking and riding bikes around the island. Carrie and Jay were always available to answer a question or offer a suggestion. Their hospitality was second to none! Can't wait to return for another slice of heaven!

Best house on Palm Island!

This was our second stay at this home, but definitely won't be the last. This property is very cozy, well cared for, well decorated, the hospitality from the owners is awesome, and there are no stairs to climb. Highly recommend it.

Lovely Home!!

My family and I take a beach vacation every summer and this was by far the best one yet. The home was absolutely lovely and very clean. It truly exceeded our expectations - FULLY stocked with necessities, smelled very clean, perfect backyard oasis and in great location. Lastly, Jay and Carrie were the best hosts I have encountered to date. They continued to check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and were so kind. We failed to reserve a golf cart in advance and Carrie referred us to a local company/contact and we had one that afternoon. Their level of hospitality was exceptional and we will definitely be back. Book now - you won't be disappointed!

Amazing Paradise!!

This has been the best place we have ever rented. Carrie and Jay go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need!!! From the abundance of goodies they gifted us, to all of the extras that you do not need to pack. They thought of everything!!! All you need is your clothes and food and you are all set!!! We are so grateful for this tropical paradise and did not want to leave!! We caught pin fish at the dock and made a fish dip with it. Delicious!! The pool is fantastic. The owners have a golf cart you can directly rent from them to make it easier. All in all a fantastic vacation! We will be back!!! Thank you again!!

Absolute gem

Paradise cottage has been hands down the best vacation rental we have stayed in to date. Well stocked and lots of little welcoming touches for guests. Location of palm island was amazing. Quiet and relaxed, beautiful, no crowd beaches. Highly recommend renting a golf cart as well because walking in the heat would have made things more difficult but with the cart we had access to any of the beach entrances quickly and efficiently. Husband very much enjoyed the bed- he usually has trouble sleeping when away from home but the bed was top quality and very comfortable. Looking forward to a return stay!

Wonderful time at Paradise Cottage

We just returned from a 12 day stay at this wonderful property. The home was spotless when we arrived and so nicely decorated. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. This rental was the best stocked place we have ever stayed. We spent hours in the pool and at the beach. We rarely saw more than 6 people during the week on the beach nearest the house. Jay and Carrie responded quickly to all our questions and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Wi-fi was strong and we never had a problem with our cell phones. The only Palm Island advice I would give is that the ferry was very busy leaving the island on a Saturday morning around 10:00. We waited over 30 minutes to get onboard, so plan accordingly. The home and the island was a chance to slow down, relax and spend quality time with our family. Thank you Carrie and Jay for opening your home to us.
