“Kleines famiiengeführtes Hotel ( ein Bungalow, ein großes Familienzimmer) mit kleinem Restaurant mit toller Aussicht auf das Meer direkt an der wundervollen Bucht von Unakuruwa, die sehr gut zum Schwimmen und zum Surfen geeignet ist. Die übergroße Herzlichkeit und die Natürlichkeit der Betreiberfamilie lässt über Ausstattung der Zimmer hinwegsehen. Der größere Bungalow hat eine schöne Terrasse. Es ist eher ein Homestay als ein Hotel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.”

“Hotel felt dated and neglected. The breakfast was cold and inedible, so we ate out each morning. However, we felt it would have been pointless telling the staff as they seemed uninterested and like they had their spirit broken. The room was dirty and sheet were stained, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It needs shutdown and given a deep deep deep clean then remodelled. I suspect the owner or manager need to try and build up their staffs morale as the staff were so unhappy it felt awkward. ”

“Family were beautiful and accommodating The house is great and perfect for a long term stay Shops a restaurants are around a 15 minute walk away but once you start walking you are likely to walk pas a free tuk tuk you can jump in I stayed with my 3 year old daughter and it was perfect Pool is great, house facilities are great. Highly recommend ”

“The Cabanas was very spacious and nice. There is NO hot water for a shower which is not mentioned in the posting. There is not a separate "sitting area." The cabana is in a beautiful setting but you have to take a Tuk Tuk to town. It is next door to a restaurant. The breakfast is the traditional Sri Lankan Breakfast. Please note that they do not accept credit cards (which is poor) so you have to pay in local currency.”

“Our stay at Maya Tangalle Manor was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is wonderfully quiet, with elegant décor and a beautiful room that opened onto a private patio. “Wasn't very clean especially the bathroom. No where to place anything in the room, had to use floor. Poor lighting in room, only I of 3 lights worked. No toilet roll or soap provided, had to ask for toilet roll. No dustbin in room or bathroom. This is a homestay, not a hotel. Breakfast was good and they attanged a scooter hire for me.
