We did not use either the hot tub or fireplace, however I looked at both and they seemed very clean and in good condition. The one thing I did not like was being forced into an 89 insurance buy in order to rent the house. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.

The house was easy to find and check-in was pretty easy (once we found the circuit breakers). The place was very clean, the living room was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Communication was good before we arrived, but a little challenging after our arrival. The beds were soft for us, but may be fine for others. There were some minor maintenance issues that we passed on to the owner, but nothing significant.

We felt like we had to be careful with all we did while staying there. Lots of notes around the house, from about not wearing your shoes while in the house (even though there was only a small rug at the front door to take your shoes off) Hard to remove shoes when there is nowhere to stand and it's snow outside. To making sure everything was cut off before we left. Notes everywhere! 55 degrees in the house when we arrived, took hours, not minutes for it to warm up as it had just snowed the night before and was extremely cold outside. Therefore, the floors were very cold when walking on them, wish I had brought slippers to wear. Upstairs bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and the stand that held the shampoo. Toilet seat was very worn and gross. Firewood was left, but not seasoned and would not light as there was not a fire starter to add to the wood to make it light(the paper in the bin wasn't cutting it. Was really looking forward to a cozy fire, that didn't happen. Couldn't use the hot tub, only 2 of us older people and we were told the lid was very heavy in the directions, since there was snow was on top to add to the weight, we knew we wouldn't be able to get the lid off if we tried. Was disappointed that an automatic charge of 50 was added for the hot tub that we couldn't even use. Light bulbs missing on several of the light fixtures. All in all was not up to standards of other VRBO houses we have stayed in the past. So Disappointed.

Very secluded home, nice comfy king size beds and plenty of space to relax. The TV had all the channels we use and was easy to find something good to watch. The one negative was the hot water situation. 2 of us were taking showers at the same time and lost warm water about 5 minutes into the shower. I needed to rinse my hair in very cold water. Despite those couple things we would definitely rent this space again. Convenient to the casino and Jim Thorpe. The hot tub was great but we could put a light on, it wasn't working so it was very very dark out there at night.

We had an amazing stay! The property was so clean and they had everything we needed! Hot tub was amazing and so private, and the sunroom was perfect to sit and have coffee every morning so so beautiful. We had great contact with the host. Nice Getaway

This home was very comfortable and nicely nestled in the trees. Even though it was close to a main road, that was not an issue. There was everything in the house that we needed for the long weekend: plenty of kitchen appliances, utensils and also toiletries, if needed. I was concerned about no air conditioning, but with all the fans, we were very comfortable. It would be a great place in the fall. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

Serrettes Hideaway

The house was really cute and was perfect for me and my 2 friends for the weekend. We each had our own bedroom. The hot tub worked great and was a nice edition to our stay. There were multiple smart TVs and a nice kitchen and living room. The house was kept tidy and was accurate to the listing. My only complaint would be the shower water got cold very quickly when both showers were running at the same time. The hot water didn't last more than a few minutes but overall great stay and would definitely go back!

Private hot tub that works, privacy from surrounding trees and a relatively quiet area. Large family space inside with plenty of sleeping areas, nice kitchen and side porch. Fire pit outside is always a plus for nice night outside.
