The property is well situated with good beach access. I was disappointed in the condition of the house. It needs quite a bit of maintenance to bring it up to par with the photos of the listing. There is a soft spot in the floor in front of the washing machine that is very concerning, in fact the entire 3 story house “wobbled” when the washer was in spin mode. Overall the place was just run down. The furniture was tired, the exterior spaces needed refreshing, and had old cheap patio furniture. Outside of the maintenance issues, there was no detergent for the sink, the hand soap was empty, and there were no blankets on the beds except for the master. We had to dig around and find blankets that were stuffed in drawers. We did have an issue with the A/C when we checked in that was handled promptly. We stay in several VRBO’s a year and have had experience with all kinds of owners and management companies. This place, compared to similar properties we’ve stayed in, was not at all welcoming. There were warning signs all over the house that pointed out the various infractions you could commit and get charged extra for. I did not feel like a guest at all. An additional annoyance was they charged a 3.5% fee for using my credit card…even though the VRBO listing clearly stated all fees were included.
