“Das Hotel ist im Stil einer alten Kolonialvilla augestattet,sehr stimmig und geschmackvoll. Der Garten, der Pool, Alles sehr gepflegt. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, waren die Preise im Restaurant (völlig überteuert!) und dass den ganzen Tag Musk lief, die ja in dieser Lautstärke nicht jedem gefällt. Schade, es könnte ein richtig superfriedlicher Ort sen. ”

“They have two nice pools. Although we have used only seaside and beach. Not enough and old sunbeds. They have a shower on the beach side. Experienced, helpful and kind staff. They have let me to call airline due to sudden situation. Thanks a lot for it. We have waited a bit long for the dinner after ordering in the restaurant and at the end one of the order was forgotten. They have said sorry. So assuming it was just incidental. Recommended. ”

“A family business run by Himmel. The property sits right next to Bentota Lagoon. There is a daily shuttle to and from the beach. The accommodation is in a block of two floors. The rooms are clean and spacious with plenty of storage space and a large furnished patio or balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon. The rooms are kept very clean by very friendly staff. “Mycket trevligt läge och killen som jobbade där var trevlig och hjälpsam. Duschen var ingen höjdare. Det fanns inget duschutrymme så allt i badrummet blev dygnsurt. ”

He also picked us up from the airport, and drove us to Hillary’s via a turtle hatchery and a boat trip on the River Madu. “The staff was so nice. The room was large, 4 post bed, mini frig, beach and bath towels in room. It was very clean. Balcony was nice with sturdy chairs and table. View was nice over pool. Free beach chairs. Can by drinks/food- everyone there also nice. Good place to rest, be at beach, breakfast good, restaurant/bar in hotels right there. Thank you for a good stay!”

“Lite hotel med enkel standard. Fin rom med stor balkong. Vi fikk kjøleskap og vannkoker. Eieren kjørte oss rundt overalt og kom med flotte forslag om hva vi burde se og oppleve. Veldig flott service, gjorde alt for at vi skulle ha det bra. En uke som jeg vil huske og ha gode minner.. Anbefales på det varmeste”

“Pasamos cuatro noches en el hotel y cada día superaba, en el mal sentido, al anterior. Primero nos dieron una habitación que no correspondía con la categoría que habíamos reservado: suite. Cuando ya conseguimos la habitación de la categoría pertinente, no funcionaba la caja fuerte y tampoco la bañera (principal motivo de la reserva de esta categoría). Intentamos que lo solucionasen ese día pero no nos hicieron caso. Al día siguiente, volvimos a pedirlo pero nos siguieron ignorando. Al día...

“Unfortunately this place is in desperate need of investment. The kerb appeal is very good but the jetty for example is falling into the river and not as pictured. The room wasn't very clean which is a great pity as the owner is very friendly. The food was lovely, we had both Breakfast and evening meals and could not fault them. It just a great shame that it is not as good as it could be. If the owner makes a investment in his property he could definitely charge more to stay.”
