  • Unbeatable location! Our home's back yard borders the base of popular West Mountain Ski area! Walk to the lift, just 2 driveways away! Perfect home base for your Lake George vacation. Downhill ski, snow tube, enjoy a festive ski mountain atmosphere, explore Gore Mountain (35 min), cross country ski or snow shoe on trails just down the road, or snowmobile trails nearby. In the summer & fall, find MTN biking and hiking right outside + lakes, amusement parks and more!! Pet friendly with conditions.
    The space
    This newly refurbished 3 bedroom 2 full bath ski houseoffers everything you need for your winter or summer adventures in the Lake George region! From the dining room, kitchen and porch you can see the slopes just past the trees. Enjoy the convenience of your “home-base” just steps from the lodge and lifts at West Mountain. No need to fight for parking or load up the car if you prefer to travel light! Sleep in – you don’t have to drive! Enjoy safe, no-stress Apres Ski food and beverages – you don’t have to drive home, just walk back to your cozy couch and toasty gas fireplaces, or unwind with a relaxing soak in our brand new HOT TUB on the deck. In summer, pedal right out the door to area mountain biking at West Mountain and local spots, as well as, walking & hiking trails. We have 3 trail systems all a short ride or drive from the house, including Big Bay Preserve, Ruby Lane MTB system and NorthPointe Preserve. Our home is located just minutes from a wide array of attractions and businesses, including Lake George (boating, fishing, swimming), the Great Escape, Adirondack Extreme, horseback riding, snowmobile trail system (3 miles up the road), Gore Mountain, City of Glens Falls and the Kool Arena, Queensbury School, Adirondack Community College, mini-golf, dinner cruises and much more! West Mountain offers winter activities including ski races, lessons and lift tickets, snow tubing, dining and apres ski opportunities. In the summer, the mountain hosts not only lift served mountain biking, but aerial tree top adventures, scenic chair rides, mountain top picnics, summer camps, farmers markets, and “mountain yoga”.

    Our cozy living room has a full couch, love seat easy chair and ottoman set around a blazing gas fireplace. Kick up your feet and relax after a day of adventure – for those in your party who enjoy the peace and quietness of relaxing at home, what better place than right next to the mountain! In warmer weather, enjoy the sunshine on the back deck, or exploring our large back yard at the base of the hill. The dining and living areas are a partially open plan, with lots of picture windows offering a pleasant view. The dining set seats 8. Our new eat-in kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and new GE appliances offers an expansive view of the back yard and filtered views of the ski area. Stocked with all of the basic cooking -pots and pans as well as dinner ware, please remember to bring your own spices or specialty items you may need. Our two full baths offer a 5 foot stand up shower in one, and a traditional tub/ shower combination in the other. The master bedroom includes a hickory log king bed with a luxurious foam mattress, wall -mounted a/c, and lots of closet space. The blue room offers a beautiful cedar log queen size bed, closet and a ductless mini-split air conditioner. Our green room features a cedar log twin bunk bed and an additional twin bed. At the garage level basement, there is a finished room that offers a nice hang-out space, with another gas fireplace, recessed lighting, lots of closet space, game table and futon (for 8th Guest). In the unifinished section of the basement adjacent to the garage, we have a washer & dryer and plenty of space for boots and equipment. Guest have access to use the garage for cars or equipment such as skiis, bikes and toys.
    There is an automatic opener accessible with a code.

    In summer, enjoy the outside with a patio set, fire pit and BBQ grill. Our backyard offers both open space near the house, and large treed area close the mountain with room play and relax.

    Heating & Cooling: The home is heated by oil hot water baseboard, and cooled by ductless mini-split heat pump modules. There are no air ducts.

    Internet / Wifi: we have spectrum internet 600 MB speed service, and wifi works throughout the home.

    We have a long driveway that is one-car wide, however, we have a paved side space for parking of vehicles and smaller trailers as well.
    Guest access
    Guests have the use of the entire home, garage, deck and yard. Please respect our neighbors’ properties and confine activities to ours. While we are adjacent to the West Mountain Ski area, please proceed to the lodge to purchase lift or activity tickets, please do not trespass through the back yard.
    Other things to note
    West Mountain Ski area details: Just for clarity- our location is indeed at the base of West Mountain, and borders the lower road/ bunny hill. However, we do not offer access that way. Since we are only two driveways from the parking lot entrance (see photos), our Guests can easily walk over to the Lodge using W Mtn road and then through the parking area, or, feel free to drive. On a crowded day, this really helps! Please remember that any and all access to West Mountain Ski area requires the appropriate lift or access tickets. We are not owned by the mountain or its owners, and access to the mountain is not included in your reservation.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:The town of Queensbury has set specific regulations pertaining to short-term rentals. A full house-guidelines sheet will be provided to you. Please note the following important items per the Town of Queensbury short-term rental regulations:
    1. Summer rental stays between May 15 - Sept 15 must be a minimum of 5 nights. This creates some difficulty in searching for the home. As such, we have set summer days to a “3 night minimum” for availability, but will comply with the town requirement of reserving at least 5 nights during this time. Please contact us so that we can help you with this reservation if your schedule does not allow a 5 night stay, or, if you have any questions. The BONUS of this arrangement is that for shorter stays, you may have some flexibility in dates built into your reservation, allowing for changes should you need them. We will work with you in order to remain in compliance and help you find the right fit for your budget! We also offer other accommodations in Lake George / Diamond Point, and can help you find the best fit.
    2. There can be a maximum of 3 cars at any short-term rental at any given time. If you have concerns, please let us know so that we can offer assistance. There is no overnight parking on the street.
    3. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am daily.
    4. While the following is unlikely to apply to any of our valued Guests, please know that any disturbances to neighbors may be reported to the town or law enforcement. These agencies and neighbors have short-term rental owner’s information in order to make immediate contact.
    5. In the case of a fire, and if the hallway exit from a bedroom is blocked, we have an egress window in each bedroom. These windows are casement and crank out all the way, and are located on the first floor level of the home (we are a ranch style house). Locations of egress windows: king room – left of bed (opens to back yard), queen room left side of bed (opens to side yard, please use rollup ladder for safety), twin room in front corner left of bunk bed (opens to front porch).
    6. Our Guests are always wonderful folks and we welcome them! Town wishes for us to include a reminder here. Guests at a short-term rental are prohibited from exhibiting "offensive behaviors", such as a loud/lewd parties or activities, vandalism, or other illegal activities.
    7. The primary Guest must sign and return the "property rules" statement prior to check in. This contains the same information noted here and in typical "house guidelines" postings at most Host destination. It will be provided after you have made your reservation.

    Lodging Taxes: On behalf of Warren County office of the Treasurer, we collect and pay 4% in occupancy taxes based upon the cost of the reservation and the cleaning fee. This will be included in your cost through .

    Guest Service Fees: please note that charges a fee of about 10% for each reservation, though these fees may vary. These fees do not go to us as the Owners. Additionally, please note that whatever up front payment requirements presented by at the time of reservation are at its sole discretion, and, we do not receive any monies until one day into your stay.

    PET POLICY
    We are pet friendly, with some restrictions. Please contact us prior to booking to let us know about your family pet. While staying with us, you and your pet will be required to follow these rules:
    1. No pets on furniture or bed spreads or beds
    2. Must remain on leash, per town ordinance
    3. Dispose of all “business”
    4. Pets may not be left unattended at home, unless crated
    5. Clean up after the Pet
    6. Any related damages are the responsibility of the Guest
    7. A pet fee does apply. This is to cover the cost of additional cleaning and deordorizing in preparation for future Guests, as may be warranted.

Great stay

We stayed here in the summer for a short weekend. Home was clean, host communication was great, no issues. Hot tub worked. Would stay again.
