“Wonderful stay at La Sauvagette! We loved staying at this comfortable gîte in the gorgeous village of Mortagne-sur-Gironde. Vikki and Andrew were wonderful hosts, very helpful and friendly. The house had everything we needed, clean and well stocked with everything needed for self catering holiday including charcoal BBQ.The garden was lovely with great views across the vineyards. “We primarily visited the area to cycle and to enjoy the wildlife - neither disappointed.We cycled just over 600 miles on extremely quiet roads and paths through varied landscapes.After a days cycling the swimming pool was a real plus.The owners Howard and Liz are on hand with a wealth of local knowledge and treated us with views of wild boar from the patio. The bike was garaged and nothing was too much trouble.We will return.”
