“Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. ”

The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. ”

“We paid $60 more for a family room (2 beds) than a king size bedroom but it was not available to us. We were offered to a room with a double bed. We argued that the bed was too small. The room we had finally offered was a queen size bed. The bathroom floor was bare plywood. The top materials were removed. The housekeeper said it is in a process of renovation.
