A wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful resort. It is a private island and it is was our first time on a private island and the place we stayed was beautiful everything was just like it was in the pictures we had a wonderful time five stars loved it.

Great location

This is a great condo that has such a good view of the ocean from the porch. My wife and I both really enjoyed our stay. Kathy also helped accommodate us with a crib for our 8 month old son which was a huge help! I would recommend staying here.

Fripp in October

Very large rooms. Plenty of room. Great ocean view from the balcony and two bedrooms. A golf cart comes in handy for trips to the beach access points. Very clean and quiet. A great stay!

Breathtaking view!

Absolutely loved the ocean front view! Very spacious and homey atmosphere. The beds were super comfy! Nice proximity to the pool. Only small complaint would be very small quantities of items like Kleenex, paper tower, toilet paper - may want to bring own supplies. Overall, we had an amazing stay!

Amazing View

The deck of this place has the best view! We watched dolphins right in front of us each morning. We watched the sunrise and even the moonrise one night. If you want a view, stay here!

This 2 story condo is right on the ocean! Clean and very comfortable! Comfortable couches, chairs, and beds! The host answered questions quickly. We will be back!

Excellent home, excellent trip!

It was a great trip, with wonderful accommodations! The condo was right next to one of the many pools on the island, which was very convenient. The view was amazing out of all the windows. We loved seeing all the dolphins in the mornings too! The house was perfectly equipped, even with puzzles… we did 2 and almost finished the 1000 piece but unfortunately our time ran out lol… maybe next time!

The property was clean and the local person was so helpful. The unit could use some upgrades and light maintenance: mostly handyman kind of things: toilets needing seals, lightbulbs, rusty doors, mirrors needing to be hung, etc

Great view of the ocean

The condo was very roomy and the beds were comfortable. The TV remotes did not work, due to old batteries. We finally bought a pack ourselves. Overall, we did enjoy the quiet area and the great ocean view.

Best vacation I’ve ever ever had!

This location and particularly the balcony view, exceeded my expectations! There were great touches, including updated fixtures and decor, new bedding, and linens, plenty of towels and comfortable sheets. When we arrived, the place was impeccably clean, and that is saying some thing from me. The patio furniture on the balcony was perfect, so that the spectacular view could be taken advantage of. I have pictures of groups of dolphins that I took directly from the balcony. This was an awesome experience all the way around!

Dolphins

The location of this property is great! You are right next to the ocean, and we saw dolphins every day. The property manager is very responsive. I agree with other reviews that the property is fairly dated, and there are few extras. Just be aware that if you plan on doing any cooking, you will need to bring/buy all food prep items (oil, butter, spices, etc.) as well as paper and dishwashing products.

Good location on the island

My mother owns in the same condo complex, so my sisters and I booked this condo for a short stay to visit her. While the condo is in a prime spot, with beautiful ocean views, it does need updating. The bathroom shower in the second full bathroom upstairs did not work, and there was no hot water to that bathroom, including the sink faucet.

Do not stay here1

This property is seriously outdated and in disrepair. It needs a total facelift. The shower door is broken and the tub stoppers are nonfunctional, The general appearance is dirty with multiple dead roaches. The view is incredible but the door to the porch gets stuck and very difficult to open. There is no access to the beach, so don't bring small children. The management person was very nice and responsive.

What a View

We visited to watch our daughter graduate Parris Island. We have never stayed in a condo and were a little skeptical but it was so very worth it. You can watch dolphins with your morning coffee. We got to see beautiful thunderstorms as well. The neighborhood is adorable and clean. All the neighbors were super friendly. Amenities card not necessary unless you have kids for the pools or like to frequent the island restaurants. The beaches are so nice to walk and never seem crowded but always plenty of room to relax. It was so very peaceful watching the sunsets from the large community deck and there is always a beautiful breeze blowing. The property manager always responded quickly with questions. The tvs run off light switches so we needed help when we arrived. The property is dated but clean and comfortable and more spacious than expected. My only complaint is lack of cookware. There are pots but they are small ones, one big one and one good skillet, So plan accordingly. We will hopefully be back soon. We had such a great time driving around on the golf cart to see the island. Wildlife and especially deer are abundant. It's absolutely a beautiful hidden gem of a place and no hustle bustle like Hilton Head. We enjoyed the peace and relaxation. Don't hesitate, just go enjoy all it has to offer.

Beach lovers BEWARE!!

My sister & I & our 3 adult daughters came to this island hoping for a relaxing beach experience. I received very little info for checking in, besides the codes to get in the door & parking passes. There was no info about beach access, Wi-fi, local attractions, etc., as we've always had at other rentals. There were stairs everywhere, no elevators, so if you can't navigate stairs, this place is NOT for you. The sliding glass door leading to the deck did not lock & the property manager was aware of it. In the guest room where I was sleeping, there were little black hairs all over the bedding, which appeared to be dog hair, even though this is a pet-free unit. Although the pics show that the unit is right on the beach, what it doesn't tell you is that you can't get to the beach unless it's low tide. Even then, it's not the kind of beach you want to be on. THAT kind of beach is close by, but only accessible by a 7-8 min. golf cart ride down the road, which we had to figure out on our own, btw. The pics are deceiving - the place is tiny. All in all, this was NOT the vacation we were expecting, & I have been a Vrbo customer for at least 20 years. The amount of money we paid for this unit was not worth the hassle. I was able to contact the property manager, Marnie, who was somewhat helpful, but I felt like I was just another problem she had to deal with. She seemed overwhelmed & unsure how to help at times.

Nice place, family friendly, hate the golf carts

Condo was great. If you're not a golfer not a lot to do on the island outside of the beaches and pools. Adult pool beverages were WAY over priced. Two beers and some fancy cocktail was $33.50. Johnson Creek just over the bridge is the place to go.

Loved this condo! Views are amazing. There's a lot of stairs, which could be an issue for older people, but it's worth it! Loved having the parking garage also.

Beautiful views!

We visited this condo for a week. First time on Fripp Island so it took us a couple of days to figure things out. Beach is a short walk away, but only accessible at low tide. Check tide charts and know you can access the beach about 2 hours before and 2 hours after. If you wait too long to leave the beach you can’t reach the stairs that go up to the complex! The beach is amazing though and so quiet! Never crowded. The condo was very clean. It could use a bit of updating and the kitchen cabinets need some TLC. But overall, it was a super nice place to stay. The view from the deck was perfect and we did see dolphins a couple of times. The condo complex has underground parking which was nice to keep our car out of the hot sun. The pool is very nice and a short walk from the condo. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would visit Fripp Island again!

Gorgeous View!

We really enjoyed the property. It was everything we were looking for. The best part was the patio on the water. We sat out there everyday enjoying the breeze, watching the dolphins, and even watching someone catch a shark. I wanted a place on the water and this exceeded my expectations. Loved it.

Great views! Misleading description.

Loved the views and being so close with nature that was not the issue. Description of property is very misleading. I wasn’t going to book at first after reading reviews of broke tub but seen host had responded & said it was fixed - that was a lie. Huge sign on tub saying not to use… secondly 2 min walk beach access was not true. The closest “beach access” to us was #1 & it was just stair case leading straight into the ocean. I brought my grandmother for this very reason of being able to walk out to the beach. & she wasn’t able too bc not only couldn’t she walk to one but there’s no where to park your vehicle at the actual beach access which is a good 6 min drive. Yes there are golf cart rentals but so much had already been spent on a misleading description that we weren’t renting one. You can definitely bike ride which my husband and I did & it was great but I feel a better description and more communication about the layout of everything would be better. Also - lots of stairs! I did ask about the bedroom layouts regarding stairs & the host responded about them all being upstairs which is fine BUT there are way more stairs to go up just to get to the actual condo itself and there’s only one elevator which is on the other side of the compound. Like I said great views great time but was very misleading description.

Great experience

Great place, very clean, spacious and cozy! Great view of the ocean. The lock in the front door is hard to get into and limited toilet paper. Host was very nice and easy to work with.

Pleasant view and community

Very well maintained piece of property with very captivating views of the Atlantic Ocean from your bedroom windows and porch. I’m sure we will make this a yearly stop on our vacations to just get away and relax.

The View Is Amazing

The unimpeded view of the ocean from two bedrooms and the living room is outstanding. I shared the rental with a good friend, and we each had a full bath and large comfortable bedroom with equally stunning perspectives. We were fortunate to pick a weekend in February with great weather for beach walks on both Fripp and Hunting Islands. Morning coffee on the balcony with dolphins turning in the waves below was the best way to begin the days. The property is clean and has comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has lower end cookware and knives so if you plan to do heavy cooking be advised, but for simple meals there is adequate equipment. Communication with the host was a little confusing at check in but overall we had a terrific time and would rent there again.
