Nice little hotel close to public transport. Was clean. No reception but easy to communicate with. I only wish there was a kettle for tea, too. I stayed in room 5. There are stairs inside the room to access the restroom.

Went on a Solo trip. It was a perfect location for those who are just looking to spend the night and be going out while still having a comfortable place to come back to. Everything is close by or at least less than 10 min away. Beach, shopping centers, coffee places or bars. I was told it’s “not the best neighborhood” but never felt unsafe or seen anything dangerous. Very different aesthetic looking but personally I loved it.

The room style was unique and fun, however parking was terrible sometimes having to park a few blocks away. I like the fact that it's joined with a nice restaurant, but honestly it was really weird opening my hotel door to find people dining literally 2 feet in front of us

Idea location for those not wanting to stay downtown but still close enough for an $10. Short walk to multiple restaurants and stores. Great night life and food available

This place was the perfect find! We had dinner at the restaurant in the complex and the menu was different from anything we have tried before and very delicious. Our room was unique and cozy with beautiful touches I admired. We will definitely be back!

The owner was on site and helped me with my luggage. The room was very comfortable and well decorated. Great lighting and AC. It also included a good supply of coffee grounds, powdered creamer and sugar and a nice size coffee pot for brewing. The area is great; lots of options for food and is close to the trolley and bus routes into downtown.

At first after traveling it's not the usual check in that we are all accustomed to, but once tht was out of the way, I loved everything about this hotel. This was a solo trip for a tattoo and the location is prime. Other than the tattoo I've spent most my time on Coronado island because it's so close, but instead of paying thousands of dollars I paid hundreds. The parking is a little shady, but all n all love this place and I'll be back. This is my cheat code staying in san diego

Hotel Narcissus was great. Room 6 was fantastic. Two floors, big bed, full kitchen. Check in and check out were smooth. It is in quite a sketchy location though. Be aware! I don't recommend walking to the nicer part of town from the hotel... Get a Uber!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Narcissus. The room had everything we needed to be comfortable—the bed was incredibly cozy, and the bedding, pillows, and thick, fresh-smelling towels were a nice touch. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were also great quality. The AC worked perfectly, and the kitchenette was well-equipped. We especially loved the coffee—it was delicious! The on-site restaurant was outstanding, with amazing food and drinks, and the location is fantastic—very walkable to lots of great spots. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and we’d definitely come back.

Great place. The owner is friendly, helpful & responsive. The restaurant on premises is fantastic. The little details in the room are very artsy. The only draw back is it is loud yet with headphones I slept fine. I will stay here again.

Such a cute place! the room was super cute and spacious. downstairs is a restaurant and bar and they put two complimentary drinks! The owner was so nice and accommodating when i asked! Definitely would stay here again

The room was clean and well stocked. The self check in process was straightforward. We were able to find street parking nearby pretty easily and enjoyed the location in what seemed to be a more residential neighborhood. We really enjoyed the character and decor of the room and visiting nearby Provecho! Coffee Co.

My friend and I had a fabulous stay here. The owner was very nice and helpful. He gave a ton of recommendations that helped us out a lot with plans. The parking was not bad out front. We were in room 2 which is close to the restaurant seating. I read another review complaining about this but I did not find the activity disruptive at all. It closes by 10 anyway! The surrounding area could be a bit dicey if walking at night I am sure but we found day time pleasant overall. My only suggestion would be to add toiletries stand in the shower. Other than that we had a great stay and would again!

The room was very cute and cozy. Air conditioner was very useful. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was big which had both overhead shower and handheld. There isn't a designated parking. You must find street parking but it wasn't a problem as we always found a space. A restaurant is on the same premises and even though the food smelled delicious, we never got to eat there. There were two beverage vouchers to use at the restaurant but we didn't get to use them either. Although some reviewers complained about noise, we never experienced it. The owner is very communicative and we had no problem accessing the room. We would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel, close to Barrio Logan and Chicano Park and a 10-15 minute drive to the Gaslamp district. I wasn’t clear from the listing that the courtyard is actually the seating for the restaurant so be aware that you can’t really hang out there during service hours (though you should eat there, the food is outstanding!) Everyone was super nice and helpful when I hadn’t gotten the entry code by check-in time. Be aware that there are not separate hotel staff, though restaurant staff can help with things like extra towels or emptying trash. I prefer not having my room serviced during a stay but if this is important to you choose a more full-service hotel. I was in town for a conference so really just sleeping in my room and it was perfect for that.

I didn't pay attention to the details, I booked it online and just assumed it was a regular hotel. There was no human interaction, and the only thing I could do is call a number that a guy answered like it was his personal cell phone. The place was extremely loud all night, not in a great neighborhood and the room door was see-through glass so anyone walking by could see into my room.

Pros: Creative interesting room and location. Comfortable bed. Amazing shower. Fun neighborhood -lots of good coffee and food to walk to. Cons: Barking dog in unit above us, the owner was responsive to get it dealt with the first day we complained about it. No response the second day - the dog barked for over two hours. The hotel is right on the freeway. The noise isn’t too bad from inside the room, but anything out the door is pretty deafening. Also quite a bit of construction/banging type noise during the day right next-door. The only natural light is from the glass door, and it lets in too much light at night. It needs a thicker darkening shade.
