We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in San Diego. As advertised, the location is unbeatable - one block from the Mission Beach boardwalk. Being close to Pacific Brach, with its many restaurants, was also a plus for us. And we even managed to take a beautiful long walk to La Jolla. The house was well equipped and worked well. Everything was as advertised, including the spacious garage. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had (which weren’t many since everything was explained well in the welcome notes to us). I hope we can stay in this magical place again.

Good host communication. Great location and close to everything. Beautiful beach a few few steps away. Grocery store five blocks away. The house could use a little bit of TLC but other than that everything was fine.

First and foremost the location was great and the property manager was responsive. However, this unit is in desperate need of a deep clean and some repairs. The walls, baseboards, banisters were filthy. When we first arrived the bathroom floors still had hair from previous guests and stuff smeared on the shower tile- They immediately sent out their cleaner but we were gone while she was there and she still missed a lot. I ended up cleaning a lot of it myself. Some of the screen doors are broken or ripped which makes it hard to keep them open to keep the unit cool because you end up with flies. Other than that the unit was well stocked and everything you could need for the beach which was great. Having parking was a plus. Garage is small and would be hard to fit more than one car unless they are compact. Stairs have holes between them and there is a window that is level with the floor on the upstairs level so I wouldn't recommend this unit to someone with toddlers or young children.

The host was extremely responsive and the location is amazing. Views of the ocean from the deck and this boardwalk area was very cool with lots of people, restaurants, bars and fun things to do. The house has beach chairs, umbrellas etc and a well stocked kitchen. The house has bikes so we were able to use those to get around but there is SO much walkable from this location. The grocery store is close too. Loved it.

Location was fantastic, there was a beautiful view of the ocean, which was spectacular at sunset. The house could do with some upgrading. Some of the mesh screens on the windows were broken and we were inundated with flys. The lack of air conditioning was a huge issue for us, there was plenty of fans but very hard to cool the house down, especially the upstairs rooms. The outdoor area was really lovely to sit at for dinner or drinks and there was plenty of beach towels, chairs and other beach equipment which was very handy to have.

Fabulous location! Stayed with my two adult daughters and two year old granddaughter. Although we didn't do any real cooking, we did find that the kitchen was very well stocked with anything needed if guests did want to cook. We went to beach daily and were grateful for the many beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys provided. Also loved the spacious garage because parking streetwise would have been a challenge in that neighborhood! Plus there was a full sized washer and dryer (plus soap) available for our use. Also each shower had supplies like shampoo, conditioner and body wash for our use. There is no A/C but the temps cooled enough as the day progressed that it was not an issue. Also there were several ceiling fans as well as portable fans. The only suggestion I would make to the owners is to put new screens on the doors and/or windows that have some holes, etc., as we had a minor issue with some flies, etc., and assume there were coming in thru some of the screen tears, etc. But I would definitely stay here again if I was planning a trip to this area. Such a short walk to Mission Beach ... it was a wonderful place to stay!

Great location just off the beach

The location can’t be beat; far enough from the boardwalk noise but the ocean still visible from the front porch. A RAV4 and a 4-door sedan fit in the garage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are decent. The living space and kitchen were comfortable for our party of 4 adults and 2 kids (though the later arrival of a 5th adult made things feel a bit cramped). The kitchen has nice appliances, and as we didn't cook, it was well equipped for our needs. The owners were responsive and easy to work with. With that said, the place is worn and in need of a deep clean and fresh coat of paint. The bed pillows need to be replaced. The 3rd bedroom off the kitchen is much smaller than it appears in the photos, with the bed taking up almost all the space and only a tiny alcove to hang a few items. There was barely room to get around one side of the bed, and the other side was taken up by our suitcase that we couldn’t unpack because there was no storage. It was a bummer to be the couple in this bedroom. The bathroom next to this bedroom has ample counter and cabinet space, but the shower is a very small stall, and there was only space to hang one bath towel (a hook or 2 on the back of the door would be good). The price seemed steep given the above, however in the end, we really enjoyed our stay because of the proximity to the beach and parking. We would stay here again if we couldn’t find a nicer place at a similar price point.

Great Family Adventure

This property matched all of our family needs: proximity to the beach, enough space for togetherness and “breathing room”, well-appointed kitchen, on-site parking, laundry and again proximity to the beach! Perfect location, very nice house with good beds

Location is very good. There are two very large table (one in the kitchen and one outside) suitable for 8 adults. Kitchen is very usable (plenty of plates, glasses, silverware etc). Communication with owner was good as well. Our group (6 adults) would consider to come back.

Amazing beach stay with kids

The twin townhomes were perfect for our family of 12! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Laundry machine on site is awesome! Garage, house, etc just as described. Owners responded to inquiries very quickly. House is literally 100 feet from the beach. 10 min to SeaWorld; walking distance to dozens of restaurants, Belmont part and pier. Would definitely stay again!

Great location

Location was perfect, very close to the beach! We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. There was plenty of parking for our rental cars. The house came with plenty of beach toys, chairs and towels. We had 18 people and there was plenty of room. I will definitely consider renting this property again!

The location and price point can’t be beat! The property manager was helpful and quick to respond. I would not recommend the property to families with children under 5 due to the number of stairs and the railings that have large gaps between that my 18m old could easily fit through.

Family beach vacay

Absolutely loved the space this property provided us and the location was wonderful!! We had 3 families of 4 and had plenty of room for the kids and the adults. The upper rooms did get a little warm but the fans did help with that. This is our 2nd year doing a San Diego fall break trip and we all agreed the location and space were a definite plus!! The added beach gear the owners provide was very helpful as well! Would stay again!

We loved the location

This was a family vacation. We have 3 married children and 6 grandkids. It’s a great location for a beach vacation. We would start in the morning at the beach go back to the house for lunch. The young kids would take naps while the others would head back to the beach. Each individual family had their own private space. There is plenty of room for everyone to gather for games etc. We enjoyed meals on the large tables outside on the front deck where we could see an hear the ocean. The house was very clean and easy to access.

Wedding/Vacation

This is a great property if you have a large group. We ended up have 13 adults and 4 kids staying here. It was great having 2 living rooms, kitchens etc. Easy for getting meals done and spots for the kids to hang out. Beach was a few steps away and plenty of chairs and toys for kids and adults. Parking was a breeze with 2 garages and in front of the garages. Boardwalk and street had plenty of dining and drinking options. Having washers and dryers was a bonus. House was a bit dated and could probably use a deep cleaning. The outside deck was great to have breakfast or dinner on. All in all, it is a great place for large families.

Ideal property to house three family generations under one roof. Steps from the beach. Although the property had no AC, the constant ocean breeze kept us cool throughout our stay. Issues we encountered were quickly addressed by the owner.

Views of the beach from the Patio!

This was a great property. It has a great layout for groups and families. We had both units, side-by-side and it fit 4 families with all ages of kids very comfortably! Everything worked great. Parking in the garage and on-street was a definite bonus! Great property, and the Owners were great, easy to work with, and checked in on us during our stay. We loved being just 1/2 block from the patio to the beach, made it so convenient to run back and forth with the kids, and beach toys, chairs, etc. Plus they’ve got a ton of chairs, boogie boards, toys, etc. for use. We’d definitely stay here again!

Comfortable Property

Property was comfortable for our large group. We especially enjoyed the steps-to-the-beach location, plentiful beach equipment, and generous parking spots (a huge perk at the beach).
