The home was as described, clean, conveniently located, and perfect for our family. We were with our two sons, their wives and toddlers, and there was never a lack of fun things to do. The grandchildren loved the sandbox, putting green, connect four game, and corn hole set. We spent leisurely mornings there before heading out to activities, and could easily return for afternoon naps. I loved the lakeside trail for early morning runs around Lake Murray, and the nearby park was a hit. The host was fantastic. The listing indicated one portable crib, and we needed three, so we rented two more, but when we arrived we found three cribs at the property. The host promptly refunded us for our crib rental when we let them know. They were responsive during the booking process as well. We'd recommend this property to anyone visiting San Diego.

Ideal vacation destination for our family gathering. Hosts took care of every detail. They didn’t miss anything! Great beds, bedding, home was clean, many different activities set up to do on the property, pool, hot tub, extra swim towels, workout equipment, washer and dryer just o name a few. This home is in a quiet neighborhood, with a grocery store nearby. We had a beautiful view and were close to the walking trail around the lake. Mostly, we were able to get to Sea World ans the beach in about 20 minutes. So glad we chose this property for our vacation…this home is a destination in itself.

Overall, our stay was comfortable. The house had many amenities for a family getaway. My two nieces loved the putting green and the playground. Us adults enjoyed the always ready hot tub nightly. The kitchen was not adequately supplied, even lacking such basic utensils as a corkscrew. And only1 kitchen towel. In spite of that, it did not offset all the good points.

Fantastic!

We had a great stay. The property was clean and exactly as pictured. We had fun with the pool and hot tub. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for both of our families. Would love to stay here again.

Great Stay! Note: 4 Bedroom, Quiet Hours Strict

Overall, my stay with a group of 14-16 was phenomenal. The grill and entertainment area out back was perfect for our evenings, pool and hot tub were clean, and the indoor areas were great for games and billiards. Ample parking, and we felt pretty isolated even though the neighboring houses are packed closely. Had a problem with the toilet, host reached out and offered to send a handyman over either during or after our stay, at our discretion. They also kindly adjusted some extra guest fees to more accurately reflect our actual guest count, even after we had agreed to pay a greater sum, which was generous of them! We were able to adequately sleep 16 if needed, with 1x per twin, 2x per queen, 3x per king, and 1x futon and 2x living room couch.Only two things to note. Firstly, as the fine print notes, there are only 4 true bedrooms. The "fifth" is a couch in the billiards room, which folds flat and is borderline comfortable. Secondly, the quiet hours are enforced strictly. Outdoor noise is only allowed before 9pm. Both nights, we received calls and notifications from the host and neighbors, asking us to please move inside. Once inside, we were loud with no issues until late. However, don't expect to be using the pool or hot tub while outside after 9pm unless you're basically silent.

Perfect!

This was a perfect place for my family to stay. The layout of the home was ideal.With four bedrooms on one level, main with open plan kitchen, dining and living room and lower/ground level with game room, there was plenty of room for everyone to be doing their own thing but also lots of great gathering spaces for all. And the grounds can't be beat - beautiful pool, putting green, bocce ball court, etc provided a true getaway experience. We were visiting family in the area who stayed with us most of the week because the home was so spacious and fun. The owners were prompt, friendly, and helpful in their communication. We had a couple initial questions/minor issues upon check in and Frank took care of everything right away and was more than accommodating. Location and proximity to Cowles mtn is great too and recommend hiking to the peak - amazing views of city. My one suggestion would be to leave a welcome book/binder for guests with answers and instructions for home. While Frank was really responsive, a book with detailed info would have prevented having to answer all of my questions. Overall, a wonderful place for families to gather and have a great time! Highly recommend!

Entertainment Galore

It can be very hard to keep kids entertained when staying at a vacation residence but not at Jackson St. We spent 3 of the 5 days at the residence and my 5 grandkids were never bored. The home has everything for adults and kids entertainment and is conveniently located to the freeway and day trip destinations.

4 bedroom home with ammenities

4 bedrooms upstairs. . One had an in suite bathroom and the other 3 had to share 1 bathroom. There was a bathroom on the lowest level, where the pool table was, not a bedroom. The house is best used by 1 large family, not different families because of the location of the bathrooms.

Celebrated daughters bday

We had a small bday for my daughters 16th bday. They had a blast in the pool and some of the bkyd activities. The host was very accommodating and communicated very well with us. I would definitely recommend to others.

Great house for a get together

The house is very clean and well appointed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for a group of 4 guys. The entertainment available was excellent and the pool and pool area was very inviting. Only negative was the hot tub that was dirty and needed cleaning before use. Even after this it was so high in chemicals that was not really useable. Would highly recommend this property.

Something for everyone!

This home was perfect for our family get together! We had an infant, three young children and 5 adults. There were so many games and activities, that everyone found something to enjoy. the kitchen was also really well set up.. It was a very comfortable accommodations, and the location was great. Every place we went from the Padres game to the zoo to SeaWorld was 20 minutes or less. The hosts are very thoughtful and the communication was great. Everyone was pleased with this choice of vacation rental, I received a lot of praise from the family for selecting it!

Our 50th celebration with family

We came to Celebrate our 50th anniversary with our kids and grandkids (2,4,8,11). We were overwhelmed at how many things there was to do for all ages at the house. the pool, hot tub, putting green. connect four, pool table , hiking close by, game room, and more. We went to the zoo and the 2 beaches. We each tried our hand a making a meal. We were very blessed to be together. I would highly recommend this wonderful house.
