This condo was very dated. No updates since it was built many years ago. The main dining light fixture and fan combo had exposed wiring and connectors at the ceiling, and the power cord ran across the ceiling and was plugged into an outlet high on the wall, like an extension cord. Pretty sure that is not code! Second, and the most important issue was the master bedroom bed. It kept us up at night because it was so uncomfortable. We messaged Gulf Coast Vacation Rental about the issue, but no response. I finally dismantled the bed to find a very cheap chunk of foam on top of an extremely old and worn out mattress. It was lower at the head of the bed than the foot. I removed the foam pad, and bought some 2x4’s to raise the head to level. After numerous messages to GCVR, and me sending them photos of the worn out bed, they decided the best way to resolve the issue was to send us another foam pad!! What needed to be done was get us a new bed! We had to spend 28 nights on that mattress, with no resolve from GCVR. They obviously didn’t care enough about our comfort to react with great customer service!! They chose to fix a problem with the same problem. Note! We never got to speak to anyone in person from management at Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals. You can’t. They only communicate via email and text.
