Mar Vista in Paradise

Absolutely beautiful property exactly as described and perfectly set up for our family visit. Three bedrooms each with its own en-suite bath, large living area, infinity pool, and well equipped kitchen all with great views of the Pacific. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of lodging. Only concern was the community road into our unit was under construction and was kind of frightening especially on our first drive in. It would have been helpful to have been informed of the road conditions.

We stayed here in 2023 and loved it. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. The staff is helpful. However, this time around, the pool was full of algea and unusable for our entire stay. The house cisterns ran out of water, meaning we could not use the bathroom or the showers for most of one day. The staff responded quickly to remedy the problem, but still

Hermosa Tranquility

This home was exactly as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was located in the hills above Hermosa in a peaceful location overlooking the bay. If you're looking for tranquil, beautiful surroundings, this is it. My wife and I and one other couple were checking out the Guanacaste region and found this house on VRBO. This is my sixth time in Costa Rica and we have been fortunate to have selected great locations up and down the Pacific Coast. But, anytime I select a house, there's always trepidation that it won't meet my expectations. This place was fantastic. We enjoyed pool time in the late afternoon and evening and it's perfectly set up to grill and cook outside. The interaction with the property manager was excellent. It was clean, well equipped and CLEAN. Everything worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing House for a Relaxing Family Getaway

We visit Costa Rica 1-2 times a year. We always stay in a home in the Guanacaste region. This home was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults/ 2 children ages 13 and 10). The house was in a great location. A local market and several beaches were a quick 2-5 minute drive. The house was clean and the views were amazing. The kids loved the supply of board games and the pool. The communication with the housing managers and the "concierge" was phenomenal. They helped plan excursions, a rental car, airport pick up, and groceries before we arrived. During the trip they responded quickly to any questions we had about additional excursions, where to eat, and beaches to visit. The ease of the communication and check in/check out process helped us have a stress free getaway. We truly didn't have to worry about anything because we were so taken care of by the housing managers and concierge.

A little slice of heaven

I have only amazing things to say about the team that manages this home and the home itself. Perched high in the mountains overlooking the sea with an infinity pool that stretches the entire length of the home. This place was incredible. The staff made sure to address any needs or concerns promptly. Again nothing but great things to say and I will certainly return as soon as I can for a much longer trip. It is important to note that you should adhere to the suggestion regarding your own transportation because taxis are quite expensive given that they are typically 20 min away and charge for the trip to you.

Amazing Home & Incredible Views!

My family of 4 stayed at this beautiful place for a week and loved it! The views were amazing and had unobstructed views of the ocean. The kids loved the infinity pool! Plenty of space for more people at the house without feeling on top of each other. The host was very responsive and the check in/check out process was smooth. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a get away! You are 15 minutes to grocery stores and restaurants, but tucked up in the mountains for some solitude :)

Outstanding Property, Incredible Location and Excellent Hosts

My husband and I and our 20 and 23 year old children enjoyed a fantastic stay at this property. The listing was very accurate but still cannot do justice to the absolutely incredible views. The pool and outdoor space are wonderful for relaxing and grilling and eating outdoors. The house has plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and plenty of bathrooms too! Very impressed with all the bath and beach towels and the convenient laundry. The house has everything you need. I would recommend adding some additional instructions for appliances, the TV and speaker, the pool, the lighting system, etc. so you could figure some things out a little easier and without having to contact the concierge. That said, Jennifer at Rich Coast Vacations was absolutely beyond compare!! She and Joseph were incredibly attentive and responsive and provided so much advice and help before and during the trip. Jennifer helped us book a fishing excursion (my husband and son had a great day and caught lots of fish for dinner and lunch), a spa day (Pure Spa - very close and excellent), and a private chef (Chef Rocio who was phenomenal for 2 meals and I would also highly recommend). She recommended restaurants, grocery stores, a bank, etc. which was extremely helpful. She even gave us a restaurant recommendation on the way from La Fortuna which was great. It was very clear how to meet Joseph to get into the property and they were very responsive with any needs we had. Highly recommend!

Perfect for family spring break

Jennifer (the owner) and Joseph (manager) were both very responsive and helpful during our stay. I rated check-in as 4/5 only because I'm used to contactless check-in as noted on the vrbo site. We met Joseph to receive the house keys/fobs. Not an issue, just an extra step. The house is nice, clean and modern. The private pool was perfect and the view is incredible. I rated the location as 4/5 because we ran out of water a couple times during our week stay. Jennifer and Joseph let us know the development was limiting water during the dry season. They were able to quickly secure water trucks to come and refill the tanks. It all worked out, just a bit inconvenient when we had hoped to shower at the end of long adventure filled days, and needed water to flush toilets and brush teeth. We bought extra bottled water for teethbrushing. The drive from the main gate (open during the day) to the house is high up a hill and the road has a lot of potholes. We were thankful to have a suv rental car, still very bumpy. We loved that the house is gated and has a security system. It took us a bit to figure out but we eventually did. The first night the alarm went off in the middle of the night, which scared us. We shared the info that was visible on the alarm console with Jennifer and she quickly let the alarm tech know. For anyone staying at this property, I would suggest being extra careful with opening doors/windows. We kept them closed except for quickly walking in and out but somehow a big frog made its way inside one day, which made for a very interesting learning experience on how to get a frog out of a house! :) There were 4 very small 🦎 that greeted us inside the master bathroom on the first day; otherwise, no other bugs or issues to report. Overall, we had a very nice stay for a family spring break. There was lots of space and then some for a family of four. Thank you Jennifer and Joseph for making our first stay in costa rica a good one even despite adventures! :)

It is a million dollar view. The house is bigger than what I thought it would be. The outdoor space is perfect for gathering and grilling. Cannot say enough nice things about Jennifer Watts from Rich Coast Vacations and all of her help in planning our trip. Would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing place

We loved our stay at this house. It was even more beautiful than the pictures online. It accommodated our group of 4 perfectly. Everyone had their own private rooms with their own bathrooms. Can't say enough about the outdoor living area and the beautiful pool. We spent a lot of time there. And the view was spectacular. We will definitely be back.

Awesome.

We had a a great time in this space. It was very clean and had everything you need to cook. The views from every room is just like the pictures. There is a little food market one minute away and a bigger grocery about 10 mins away in town. We suggest a 4x4 to get up the long driveway- but also saw plenty of smaller cars make it up too. Roberto’s in town was our favorite restaurant, be sure to go there. I would definitely come back to this home again.

Awesome stay at Mar Vista

The pictures are perfect representations of what you will see when you stay at this property. The house has an end to end wall of windows overlooking the fabulous lounge and pool with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. It was spotless when we arrived and incredibly well appointed with top of the line appliances and every imaginable pot/pan/dish/glass/etc. Full sized washer/dryer, two car garage, gated driveway and gated entrance to the community. Communication with the management company was fast, thorough, and professional. A couple of small issues were handled immediately and had no impact on our stay. The only downside I would say is that the property is pretty far up the hillside on a road full of potholes. Otherwise, an awesome property. Oh, and least I forget, Chef Mario and his daughter Claudia were awesome. Not only the food, but the friendly communication and relaxed atmosphere they created as well. Playa Hermosa is beautiful with several nice restaurants and only 5 minutes away. Dinner at Casita del Mariscos was terrific with huge portions. Breakfast right on the beach at Robertos was wonderful as was a meal of tapas at Gingers. The small town of Coco Beach is also only 15 minutes away. We will definitely consider staying here again!

The view, the pool, and the rooms were very well appointed. The property was spacious and has an open concept. You really don't need to leave the property. It has everything you need to have a relaxing vacation including grocery delivery, private chef, and board games. This place will not disappoint.

Amazing property

This property is absolutely amazing. From the point of booking, Jose and Jennifer were in communication to ensure that we had a great experience. From planning excursions, rental car, to masseuse and private chefs, Jose did an amazing job of ensuring that our time was well spent. The view is spectacular and there are tons of games that you can play poolside! Chef Mario was flexible, friendly and professional. He prepared two meals for us, which were both delicious! Thank you Jose, Jennifer, Chef Mario, masseuse and travel guides for making our stay great!

Look no further!

If you're wondering if the views in the pictures are as nice in person, they are! This property is truly magical and that's just the beginning. First of all, it's only 25 minutes from the Liberia airport. We flew from New Hampshire early in the morning and were swimming in the pool by 1:00pm. My wife and I booked this house for ourselves, our two kids (6 and 8) and my wife's parents. The three bedroom setup worked out perfectly as we all had our own bathroom and shower and quiet space. This property would be ideal for 3 couples or the family situation we had. I didn't realize it when booking but the property comes with a concierge service. Jose and Jennifer assisted us with booking a rental car, excursions, restaurant recommendations and even arranged for groceries to be delivered to the house before we arrived! During our stay we had a couple very minor issues (slow draining shower and bees nest outside). Jose took care of the issues the following morning! Jose and Jennifer also connected us with Chef Mario who cooked us a ridiculous dinner at the house one night, and they did all the dishes! I wish we could have booked Chef Mario for more nights! We stayed for 7 nights and explored a good part of the Guanacaste region. We hit up the Rincon National Park, Diamante adventure park, went sailing out of Coco Beach, and spent a day surfing in Tamarindo. I will say that if surfing is your primary objective, this may not be the property for you. The local beaches are not surfing beaches and Tamarindo is about an hour and a half away. But if you just want to surf one day like we did, it was an easy day to get to Tamarindo and back with our rental car. Just make sure you get an SUV as the road is pretty rough. I really just can't say enough good things about this property and our hosts. Thank you so much for an incredible family vacation. Pura Vida!

Perfect floor plan

If I could move this house to every vacation spot we visit, I’d be soooo happy! March is hot and dry on the west coast, so we spent most days in the pool. Sometimes, while reading in my lawn chair, I would strain my ears and hear. NOTHING! The location is very private. We loved the large outdoor space. We turned off the AC in the shared living spaces and shut the bedroom doors and tan the AC on low during he day. We opened all of the doors and pass-through windows. We played good music and drank some great CR beers and looked out at the pacific. We traveled with our 20-something daughters and everyone had their own space. We cooked most breakfasts and lunches and went out for dinners. We did go down to Coco Beach one morning but the sand was hot and the heat intense - instead, we had beers at the brewery and headed to the perfect pool at our own place. We bought most groceries at the shop right outside the community gates - easy - bring the reusable bags provided at the house. Service from Jose Angel and Jennifer was stellar! The prices in CR are not like those in Mexico, but everyone we met was so kind and every meal was great - totally worth it! Hope to visit again for longer. Hard to give away this hidden gem 😉

WOW!!!!!!!

This place was amazing ,we really enjoyed our time .We we’re very comfortable staying here, the place has everything you need right there and the view was amazing,it was even better than I thought.Jennifer and David from Rich Coast Vacations were on hand for everything we needed promptly and very happy to do so.Chef Mario is a must guys,you won’t regret it.Honestly I can’t say enough about this place,I’m a particular person when it comes to modern and clean and this house has it all.Be sure to rent a car.There are a couple of beach chairs and a typical beach umbrella,bring a pool float.Close to Coco beach which we really enjoyed visiting .We went on some excursions, as long as you have Google maps or Waze it’s really easy getting around, perhaps better in the day though when you were going on longer excursions such as Tamarindo or Miravalles volcano. Book this property and your vacation will be everything you dreamed it would be,submit questions to Jennifer while planning ,she is super helpful.
