“We enjoyed this cabin immensely for our long ski weekend. It was so cozy and the fire a-blazing made for an incredibly warm and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well equipped to allow us to prep our dinners and breakfasts. The proximity to Monarch, Salida, and the river were ideal. The host, Charles, was attentive and friendly. We will be back!!”

“We stayed in the cabins for a ski weekend. They were clean and had all the basics you can ask for in the kitchen. The cabins are knotty pine and rustic. The property is in a very nice location along the river. It was quiet and peaceful, with close access to poncha and the ski mountain. The owner is attentive and friendly. We will return.”

“This was a great hideaway during a busy Memorial Day weekend. The cabin was immaculately clean and Jean was always quick with responses. Our family enjoyed the view from the sofa as much as the hot tub. As for me personally, identifying and "communicating" with all the birds using the Merlin app was a blast. At one point we had over a dozen Pinon Jays partying with us in the backyard. ”

“Time for the owner to put some money back into the property by making some repairs. The sliding door, screen and vertical blinds were all non-functional. Steps at entrance need repairs. The tub in the main bedroom bath is "out-of-order." Overall quite clean, however we did find trash and things behind the dressers and nightstands. Know that "creekside" is actually down quite a long steep hill and you really can't hear the water flowing. The night sky is beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked....

“Great little getaway spot for some r and r. Close enouto Salida and Poncha springs to have plenty to do but far enough away to get some peace and quiet. Hot tub was fantastic, house was clean and well stocked.”

“My sons and I like to tent camp in remote hard to get to areas with more wildlife than people. The wives and the 3-year-old prefer hiking but spending nights with a soft bed and a hot shower. Our camp spot was 3 miles from the cabin. Great compromise. Host was responsive and view from the cabin was great. Thanks!”

“We had plenty of room for our 5 people. Beautiful Mountain View’s. It was close to rafting, fishing, hiking, hot springs, and Buena Vista shopping! “This cabin was located at a lower elevation than other cabins we viewed. Perfect for a couples get away. Appliances were large and functioned well. Used the crock pot and ate at the cabin. Never ate out! We enjoyed visiting this part of Colorado which made this cabin a great location. The history of the cabin is awesome decor and the framed reminders of what NOT to do at the cabin was very tasteful. We used the Fire-pit every night and enjoyed the wilderness location. Only 1.3 miles of unpaved...
