“We enjoyed our stay very much; the home was in a quiet neighborhood, close to the market, shops and parks and we were able to walk our dogs to the marina and back in a short time. The home was very clean and the kitchen completely equipped for us to prepare and eat meals when we wanted. It was less than a ten-minute drive to Sailor’s Encampment, where we were able to watch freighters - close up, that were going up the river to the locks. “My mom and I stayed during our visit to Sault Ste. Marie for my daughter’s wedding. The house was a perfect place to come, and relax after some wedding prep. We used the kitchen to prep some goodies for the reception, and there was plenty of room. Everything was in great, working order! We did contact Althea since we had a little trouble signing on to the WiFi, but she was quick to respond. As stated in other reviews, the street was busy, but not horrible. We had no troubles navigating in and...

“I booked the house to visit family in the area. It was a great choice for my adult children to be able to stay with us all in one place. The location was great for where I needed to be. The place was very clean! The host was very easy to communicate with. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend! ”

“The property was exactly as advertised and working with Greg was great. Only minor issue was miscommunication for check-in but resolved in just a few minutes. There was plenty of space to spread out for a family of 5 and lots of space to lay-out gear to dry each night. Neighbors were friendly and the location is easy to get to skiing/downtown and from the border. ”

“Everything was as it should be- sort of.. This place sleeps up to 8 but only 2 can sit to together for meals....The NEST thermostat was problematic, never allowing cool nights for sleep. The location is ideal for accessing HWY17 north out of town and close to retail chains and restaurants.”

Gord and Lori Ann were extremely helpful and great to deal with. We even got a few fishing tips, to help get us started. The cottage was very clean and well equipped.
