Shangri-La @ Rowland: Eclectic and Stylish Cottage

  • Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Original hardwood floors. Guests will love staying in "Thunderbolt" which is a historic fishing village nestled in Savannah. Tybee Island beach is 12 miles away. Savannah's Historic District is less than 5 miles away.

    Guests can stroll from this home on Rowland Ave to the Thunderbolt Town Hall to use the community dock and walk or jog along the River Drive sidewalk overlooking the stunning inter-coastal waterway. The cottage is walking distance to Tubby's, Thunderbolt Marine, Tortuga's, Chiriya's and Coach's Corner. It takes 15 minutes to drive to the night life area in downtown Savannah (less than 5 miles away). Whole Foods and Target are just a couple of miles down the street for easy procurement of whatever your group needs on your trip.

    The pool is not heated but it is maintained weekly, year round.

Always Great

This is the second time we have stayed here and my family just loves it. While the street is meh, the location is stellar and we love staying in Thunderbolt and away from the busy downtown. Plus a large yard to run around is helpful with kids. We will definitely stay again.

An amazing girls weekend!

We had a girls weekend here with 5 girls and had the best time! Everything was clean and easy to use, the bedrooms were adorably decorated, bathrooms were spacious, kitchen had all we needed, plenty of TVs, and of course the pool area was beautiful and all we needed for a getaway. We had a great time!

Summer Vacay

20 minutes from Tybee and 20 minutes from Savanah, it was the best of both worlds. My kids loved coming back from the day’s activities/beach and hitting the pool. As advertised and would stay again or recommend to anyone else.

Absolutely loved our stay! One of the best rentals we have ever stayed at! Location couldn’t have been better to be between Tybee and downtown! Home is so cozy and has all accommodations you need. The digital board in the kitchen was great for information and checking out! We will definitely be back!

Cute little getaway spot

Overall, the place was great! Super clean and had everything we needed. The owner was great with quick communication and very friendly. This house is the perfect distance to pretty much everything. Highly recommend!

The house was exactly as billed and clean!! Our family really enjoyed the closeness to activities and quietness of the area. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool!! Had a great stay and had great communication with owners! We loved it and would definitely stay again!!

Wonderful stay!!!

We had no complaints with our stay here. Furniture was comfortable. Location was far enough away from the noise, but close enough to go everywhere. The host was great at responding back to questions in a timely manner. Would love to return back here during the summer, so we can use the pool!

The house was very clean. We loved the beautiful art throughout he house. It was perfect for our needs. We had a conference in Savannah and this was a quick drive over to the Conference center.

Great location between downtown and beach

Neighborhood isn't necessarily anything great or eye catching but we had no problems and it was a great location between downtown and beach which we wanted to do both. The house is super cute and clean. It accommodated our family of 6 comfortably. Would definitely consider staying again if we returned to Savannah.

Relaxing

The pool was so nice. The wind has knocked over outside umbrella And I let them know so it wasn’t broken and she sent someone over to fix. The house was very comfortable. It’s a perfect area to relax and they provide so much helpful information and communication is great ..
