Bring your shoes, you will need them on the dirty, pet stained carpet. And don’t trust the photos, or the description of the property, because neither are accurate. The photos of the bay view are Photoshopped, so what appears to be a very good view of the water is actually a view of telephone poles, and in the distance an industrial port where the cruise ships anchor, adjacent to a busy industrial train station that receives chemical tankers throughout the evening and earth morning hours. The ‘beautiful landscaped patio’ listed does not exist. When we arrived, there were knee-high weeds, and trash throughout. The fireplace, that you might expect to enjoy on a cool Seattle evening, did not work. When someone came to open the face of the gas fireplace so that we could manually turn it on (really?) the smell of burning dust was so bad we had to turn off. The entrance was dirty and stained, and it was clear that while this flat might’ve been cared for long ago, it was no longer well maintained. Think worn, college dorm Ikea. There are two positives to this property, the parking, and the shower. The master shower was renovated, and is lovely. We spent about $700 a night, including fees and taxes, for a barely acceptable space that was dirty, worn, and inaccurately described. I asked management to reduce the price, they refused, while admitting the view was photoshopped. We are going to escalate the fraud issue with VRBO.
