My husband and I had a wonderful stay with our 2 year old. The cabin was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed for a 3 nights stay.
PROS!:
- Both beds were very comfortable
- The hosts left thoughtful amenities such as snacks, bottled water, and local beers in the refrigerator which we greatly enjoyed.
- A pack and play (we brought from home) could fit in either room next to the bed with a bit of space to walk in between. Great for traveling with a baby/toddler.
-A/Cs and ceiling fan were sooo appreciated.
-Nice outdoor seating areas
- Beach across the street within a ~2 minute walk. Not very crowded and the water temperature was great during our July visit.
Traveler tips:
- There was a coffee pot and filters but we didn't come across any coffee. Not sure if we just didn't see it but I was happy that we had brought some from home.
- As others mentioned it is a cabin with thin walls so sound carries. The A/Cs helped and we played some white noise for our toddler who had a bedtime earlier than ours. Also, the air-conditioned porch sitting area was great for hanging out and the door could be closed for more soundproofing if someone was inside sleeping.
- The bedroom doors only stay closed if you are inside the bedroom and latch them from the inside. In our case it meant we couldn't close a bedroom door completely after leaving the room when our toddler was in there sleeping. Putting something heavy behind it helped the door mostly stay closed.
