The cabin was exactly as advertised! The host made sure there was eveything that you would need while there! Plenty of cookware, toiletries, etc. The cabin was impeccably clean. The gated community is a plus. It's nice knowing not just anyone can get in and nose around. Absolutely beautiful view and very quiet. We even saw a mama bear and her cub in a tree from the deck! We would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again! Thanks for a great weekend getaway!

Deceptive and terrible communication

I booked because the listing title said that "Dollywood TICKETS (multiple) are included with your stay" and that was what made the ridiculous price seem "justified". Once I booked, I called to verify the reservation and ask how to get our Dollywood tickets. I was told that it would only be 1 single Dollywood ticket for 1 person on our reservation and the other 5 arent included. When I explained that what I was being told was NOT what was advertised, the lady asked me to send screenshots for proof of what was listed. I sent them to her, and she told me that they refused to honor it. She blamed VRBO for putting incorrect information on the listing, even though thats not how it works. to her that I only had booked this particular cabin because of the promo that was advertised with it. She told me they refused to honor their own listing because it was inaccurate and "not her fault." I called VRBO and spoke with someone who agreed that the listing description indeed said Dollywood tickets were included. He messaged Summit cabin rentals (who manages thi cabin) to ask them to honor their listing description and they refused to do that. The reservation was cancelled and I booked a much nicer, much larger cabin for considerably less than I had booked this one for. Summit cabin rentals was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and is trying to (STILL) use bait and switch advertising tactics. I highly advise a stay somewhere else. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration of a scam.

Home away from home

We loved this cabin, and we would book again. We liked the pictures when we booked, but walking in was like walking into our house. So many accents and features were so similar to ours. Everything was comfortable, the view was amazing, and the pool table was an added hit. Once we got used to the mountain drive, it was perfect!

Going on a bear hunt

Beautiful cabin in the mountains. Road is very twisty and steep - like a roller coaster - to get to it. Would have been nice to know that a head of time. Place was lovely. Just as described. Many great amenities and very cozy. We saw 3 bears a momma and two cubs walking on the street right in front of our house. The manager had given us info to prepare us in case we saw bears and that was appreciated. Would definitely recommend this property.

Best cabin ever!

This was the nicest and cleanest cabin we have ever stayed it. We LOVED everything about it. Large game room King size beds Pool table Outdoor seating Large screen TVs Digital fireplaces 3 bathrooms Large kitchen and dining Lots of seating Baby gate at top of stairs Gated/security to get in The only Con was the terrain getting to the cabin. 10 minute drive from gate to cabin.

Beautiful place to get away

We really enjoyed our stay at Hawkeye. It was a very nice cabin in the Smokey Mountains. The only thing I would suggest is new mattresses, they were hard as a rock, which made for bad sleep. Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay.

Overall we had a GREAT Vacation. One of the best my family has ever had. The cabin was amazing. We wanted to give the place an overall rating of 5, but seeing some mouse droppings and having centipedes crawling all over every day was our downfall. The cabin has a great layout and there was plenty of activities at the cabin. There are so many activities to do very close. Great location. Quiet place.

Nice cabin

Nice cabin. Location was the farthest out we have stayed but still not too far from town. Only complaint was there was mice. Never saw one, but saw the evidence and heard it.
