Property did not meet expectations for nearly 1,000 per night. The home itself is quite dated and needs significant updates. listing photos arnt accurate as home felt worn. Water pressure throughout the house was low, hardly any consistent hot water. The indoor pool area was one of the biggest disappointments. The A/C was (LOCKED)at 80 degrees the room felt like a chlorine “hot box,” looked larger in photos. pool itself was advertised as heated but temperature was (LOCKED) at 72 degrees, There were also several safety and maintenance concerns. The stairs to the downstairs level are steep and slippery. Within minutes of arrival, our small dog slipped and fell down the stairs, injuring her foot. grounds were not well kept, and while there is a fishing pond advertised, we were instructed not to use the path to it due to safety hazards, not disclosed in the listing. Additionally issues: included a sewer odor in downstairs bathroom, toilet would spray water when flushed. theater room could use a refresh, kids’ room was cute. hot tub was as advertised. One thing that stood out in a negative way was the amount of instructions provided—including a request to leave at least a 4.5-star review. Which felt inappropriate and off-putting.Overall, this property has potential but needs considerable updates, better maintenance, and more transparency in the listing. At this price, we expected a much higher level of comfort and quality.
