"The proprietor of this motel was friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable, for the most part. The bathroom was good-sized and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and provided us a good night's sleep. The sofa was saggy, uncomfortable, and badly in need of replacement. We had a kitchen which was fairly decently appointed, though we did not use it for cooking meals. We had a lovely view of the bay and a balcony with decent chairs. What made our stay less comfortable was the stairway to our 2nd floor room. While the steps were sturdy, the stairway was in very bad repair overall, with broken or missing rubber treads and many protruding nails that could easily cause injury. With this stairway in its present condition, we would not recommend the second story of this property for anyone who is elderly and/or has mobility issues. Carrying our belongings up and down this stairway was a treacherous proposition at best. The cost of this room did not reflect its quality. This property warrants updating."

"Had a great stay at this lake home. Very close to all the Pictured Rocks sites to see. Lots of things to do at the property itself, kids loved kayaking, swimming and fishing off the pier. Also very nice sunrises from the edge of lake.The family has already asked to go back next summer! Would highly recommend for a peaceful, secluded lakeside vacation rental. "
