"Was expecting a quiet, boring night but the old fashioned hotel bar was lively with interesting people so I enjoyed the fun! It’s not a vibe for young children maybe but perfect t for me as a solo traveler to meet friends. I’ll definitely stay again someday!"

"Rooms are of a modern Swiss chalet sort. On property there is a tap house that has nothing but really good beer from California, Oregon, Pennsylvania micro breweries. There are some quality goods for sale in the lobby, including wines by the bottle."
"Beautiful house with amazing views. Private and quiet. Great location to visit Lake Davis. Big kitchen with everything you need. We loved hanging out in the front and back with our dog. We hope to come back again someday. "
"Really nice place to relax and enjoy the woods. The cabin felt isolated with the secluded outdoor area in the back. The room was clean and recently remodeled. Will definitely go back. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

"We stayed in the basement room (1 queen and bunkbed) which was perfect for our family of 4 with a dog. The room opens up to a big outdoor area, so it's extremely easy to to take the dog out. There was a small fridge and microwave so we had everything we needed for a night's stay. The only thing to know is that you have to go down two flights of stairs to access the room which may be an issue for some. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Beautiful home, great neighborhood, all the kitchen tools, pots and pans that we needed to cook and serve. We would/will definitely return. We had difficulty operating the projector TV (and did not succeed). We thought that a coffee table (of any size) would be great in front of that big comfy couch so we could safely set down a drink and a snack."
