    Amazing Stay

    We LOVED our stay at Siesta Keys! The room was exactly as described and in a perfect location. This spot was very family friendly and less crowded than other locations. The access to the beach was amazing and the free transportation stop was a short walk away.

    This place was amazing we stayed in the poor boy and I loved it.

    It was a perfect getaway we are from Michigan and the key was amazing. I loved the location and the beach felt like it was just ours. I would recommend this place to any looking for a private getaway.

    Poor Boy

    We have stayed at the Poor Boy a few times. We will always come back! The rooms are clean, all the things needed for a beach trip is provided. The customer service and good communication is a bonus.

    Amazing location

    The Poor Boy was in a perfect location right next to the public beach access. It was a quick walk to the downtown area. The kitchen had all the amenities needed and then some. There was plenty of space and a nice outdoor sitting area! Would definitely stay here again!

    We had a wonderful time. The appartement was just what we needed. It was close to the beach and we took advantage of using the accessible beach chairs. After our stay, my niece left her sandals and the staff was kind enough to ship them to my house. What a service! We will gladly recommend to our friends and look forward to returning there.

    We had a wonderful time with our kids at your property. The area was so nice to entertain the other family members that came as well. It made it an easy choice whose place to hang out at! :) It was so close to beach also! Would stay again! Thank you!

    Perfect location for easy access to the beach! Well stocked kitchen, and comfortable furniture.

    Outdoor seating areas were such a nice amenity. Washers and dryers need to be replaced.

    Great Spot, simple space.

    I really liked the spot it was super close to the beach. It was a very simple little place but that's all you need for a beach vacation. laundry was free. Lots of stuff to borrow and use. My ONLY complaint is the mattresses. Very firm and unforgiving. My back ached by the end of the stay. If they changed that out—I'd spend lots of weekends here. Note: it is on the south end of Siesta so you have to drive to the village shops and such but for a relaxing quiet spot—it's perfect.

    Transparent and accessible

    We had a great time when we stayed at the Poor Boy. I live locally and hosted guests from out of town. The description of the unit was exact. The owner not only reached out in advance with his personal contact number, but replied promptly to questions and requests during our stay. I will definitely consider Gertrude Rentals for future guests and when traveling to other states.

    Superb stay!

    The room was just as described. Very comfortable, you can feel at home here. My wife and I, along with my 82 y/o mother, and two of our grandsons, 9 & 12 had a great stay. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Beach access is across the street, then just a short walk to the beach. We brought along groceries to cook while there. There was a grill outside, hammocks, and nice outdoor setup. I hope to go back for another visit.

    Everything you need and so much more!

    We are a family of 5 and have been vacationing in Siesta Key for a few years now and this is one of our faves. The unit is perfect to eat, sleep and shower. The outdoor accommodations are like no other unit, we enjoyed the tiki bar , huge gas grill and all of the beach accessories. We greatly appreciated all of the beach accessories that were in great condition, chairs , umbrellas coolers, boogie boards, very accommodating. Selfishly want to keep this unit a secret but honestly too good not to share !

    perfect location

    Our stay at the Poorboy was great. It's cozy and simple, but we were comfortable and had everything we needed. If you want to be close to the beautiful soft white sand beach, this is it! We were able to cook in house if we wanted, but were close enough to great seafood and restaurants. The community is quiet and friendly. We are from a small quiet town in Nebraska, though the atmosphere was night and day from that, we could walk wherever we needed to go and felt safe. We had a question when we got there and Daniel answered on the first ring. Would definitely stay again!
