The solitude suite was located very close to the Crescent Beach area and about a mile and a half from Siesta Key Beach. Downtown is about a 2 mile walk one way. Public transportation is available and that is a very nice option. Parking was easy and there are plenty of spaces. The suite is definitely a suite. It is a very small space and has the basic amenities. There is a small refrigerator and microwave, which are nice. We felt that the suite could’ve been a little cleaner and is in need of property maintenance. For the price of the rental, there are things that need attention. The very first thing we noticed was a very strong musty smell or maybe the smell of a drain that needs cleaned. The suite is on the ground floor and is very dark inside the room. The bed headboard blocks the window and there is minimal air circulation. The curtain rod above the bed had been pulled out of the wall, a lightbulb in the bathroom was burnt out and needs replaced. The bed was very hard and the pillows were flat. The water pressure is very low in the suite as well. When we booked, the suite had a 10/10 rating on Expedia which was misleading for what we experienced.
