“Hunt's Run Hideaway is a lovely place. It's in an area with dark skies (bortle 2 to astronomy folks) and has a nice creek running by the yard. We enjoyed walking in the creek and sitting on rocks. There were a pair of kingfisher birds that were present every time we went down there. We also saw red-tail hawks and a bald eagle (thanks for having bird identification books in the house). The house is in a valley, so we didn't see stars down to the horizon from the yard, but there were places...

“My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is extremely clean, and the views from the porch are beautiful. At the cabin, we saw deer, a turkey, a coyote and 2 bald eagles (1 adult and 1 juvenile). We were lucky enough to see elk on our first night in Benezette. We finished our our getaway with a bonfire and s’mores at the cabin. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Communication was excellent as well. ”

“Wanted to spend a weekend somewhere we'd never been. The apartment we stayed in offered the ability to be able to fix our own meals, sleep in comfort and be walking distance from a multi-flavor soft ice cream shop. We were from 2 hours away. “The property was beautifully kept. The inside was very clean and had a cabin feel with the decor. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay... pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc...There was easy access to the water down a short hill with natural step built in. We were able to fish and let the dogs play in the water, then up to the well kept yard to let the dogs sun themselves dry.”
