Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year at Family Anchor. Over all we were very happy with our stay and the condition of the property. The inside was very clean. The master bedroom and bathroom were very nice. The double bed and one of the queen beds needs to be replaced. The front porch and walkways are in need of minor repairs and paint. I would stay at the property again.

Great place for a family beach vacation!

Beautiful home that has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Management company was very responsive and helpful. Only issue we had was that there were a few roaches, but we went after a lot of heavy rain so that may have contributed. After the weather dried out, we didn't see them anymore. Really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with our stay. The house was nicely decorated with plenty of room for our family. The view of the ocean was very nice for a Lot B location and the covered front porch was a big plus. My one criticism of the furniture would be the white metal frame bunk bed. The bed squeaked really bad every time you moved and would wake everyone in the room. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Decent BUT…

Overall our stay here was fine. We enjoyed our vacation at topsail like we have for many years. Upon arriving at the property, we discovered that the elevator was not working, the oven was unable to be used, & a whole room was completely missed upon cleaning. After I called, we were told we were sent an email about the broken elevator, but it was sent only 3 hours before check in. They did send out a lady to clean the room that was missed & did bring us a countertop oven halfway through our stay with a gift card for our inconvenience which was nice. We feel landmark can work on customer communication overall. We understand things break & are not always working properly, but it would have been nice to receive a phone call before our checkin rather than an e-mail that wasn’t even seen. We still enjoyed our week & were able to look past the things that went wrong, but just beware of the contract you sign upon booking!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great trip and loved the layout and location of the property. The management company was responsive and friendly. A few things that were hiccups: We thought there would be a first night's stay basket with some basic items, but did not locate one.Our biggest wish was that there were at least one window or door with a SCREEN!! We had gorgeous weather and longed to be able to listen to the sounds of the sea while gazing at it from inside. Construction on the house next door was loud and consistent, starting before 8am 7 days a week.We would have enjoyed a coffee grinder in the home (the kitchen is SO well stocked but we could not find one). It was surprising that there was not filtered water in either fridge and only the upstairs ice maker worked (slowly). Definitely could not keep up with a large group. It would be nice to provide a filter on the faucet if it is not possible to connect the water on the fridge downstairs. My husband did not find band aids in the first aid kit (I had some, though). Very minimal spices on site; a simple spice rack would be a nice addition. I don't offer this as a complaint, I offer it to be helpful (I manage rentals and like to know what would make things better for future renters).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed in many homes over the last 40 years and I must say this is the most well built home we have stayed in. Unfortunately our week was during a tropical storm but besides the rain hitting the side of the house you wouldn’t have known it. We loved that if you were beside or below another room you couldn’t hear anyone else. We can only assume they insulated the floors and the inside walls. It was great! The home was well stocked and we loved that there was satellite on the living room TV for us to watch local channels for all the tornado warnings 😭🤦‍♀️ my only recommendation would be to update the mattresses on the queen bedrooms. They were not the most comfortable! We are hoping for better weather next year! We will be back!

Family vacation heaven

Reviewer Comments: Family Anchor is the most comfortable vacation home we have rented, and there have been many. Bathrooms and TVs for every bedroom were much appreciated by our group of 6 adults and two children, as was the elevator. The view of the ocean was good and proximity to the beach was excellent. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and dishes, which was great since we ate in most nights. Parking space was ample. We had no need to contact the property manager. The only amenities that might have made it better would be fewer bunks and one more king bed.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

Reviewer Comments: We have been renting in Topsail for five years, multiple times each year, to visit with our daughter and son in law who is in the Marines and stationed closeby. This property was the first in which we actually felt at home. Everyone had their own bedroom (the kids loved that!) and the game room allowed for them to have their own space! At first I was a bit turned off at it not being a true ocean front, but the view is still spectacular and the private walk to the beach is so easy that it doesn’t even matter about being a house behind! The management company communicated well and met our needs during our stay! The beds were comfortable! The kitchen was fully stocked, we cooked each meal every day with no issues! We found our largest sharks tooth to date on this trip so this house is now good luck to us!! We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to book again!!
