“This house is located just a short walk from the ski resort and a short drive from the local stores. We had a very enjoyable time. I would like to have given 5 stars, but for me, 5 stars means that I can't think of anything that was not as it should be. The only issue is that the lower level restroom had a bad smell. “We loved the location, and overall had a very comfortable experience. We woke up the first day and the heater was not working, and the local support had the issue fixed within an hour. Only complaint was that the online listing said that there was a bed and pullout in room 2, as well as the living room pullout. Unfortunately the only pullout was in the living room, which made it a little uncomfortable trying to put a kid to bed when parents are still awake and no way to fully block out the light...

The family that owns this place is so sweet and caring. I highly recommend this for those looking to sleep in a log house and see a bit of history on the walls. “We had a perfect trip to the Kenai Peninsula in late May. We had 4 adults and 3 children (ages 5-11) and zero complaints. The photos don't do the views justice when you're in the Stellar Jay chalet. We spent too much time staring out the window. The kitchen is very well equipped and allowed us to cook multiple meals at home.
