This is a huge home with lots of light, very elegant, open, and upscale. A little chilly vs. cozy.
However, a generally hostile environment. Everything we asked for from the management company they immediately said no to, no interest in truly hosting us or making us feel at home. Couches were covered with those weird pads that movers use for protecting furniture, like, "Don't actually use these couches. They're for show."
They gave us 4 rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 4 days, and when we asked for more, they gave us 4 more rolls with a terse little note saying that based on the number of people we *said* we were bringing (implication: we were lying) this is all we should need. So we had to buy our own, plus paper towels etc.
Both ice and filtering on fridge needed maintenance, showing red lights. Hostile signs all over the property threatening us with fines if we were loud, or in the hot tub late, or this or that.
Accordingly though, neighborhood was dead silent throughout our stay. For a couple or individual this would be nice. But this is a very big house, so people who rent it are likely to want to be social or bring a big group. I was constantly shushing our teens even indoors, out of fear of being fined.
Small thing that added up: loud landline in the house rang often and scared the crap out of us each time.
On the plus side, huge fun beautiful meadow nearby for playing in the snow.
Note that you'll want to bring chains. These are side roads and snow did not get cleared, nor salted so driving on them in their icy state was scary. (Snow was unexpected and we left our chains at home.)
10 or so minute drive to lots of amenities. Beautiful house, neighborhood, and street. Just stressful and frosty, pun intended.
