  • Summary:

    Getting a large group to South Padre Island is easy. Finding a place where everyone fits — couples wanting their own space, kids needing their own room, someone who would rather skip the stairs — that is harder.

    Villas de Laguna was built with exactly that in mind. Finished in 2025, this newer three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath two-level townhome at 5100 Laguna Blvd sleeps 10 without an airbed nor pull out and is just two blocks from the beach with the bay directly across the street.



    The Space:

    The kitchen is fully equipped — pots, pans, blender, and all utensils — and opens wide into the living area, keeping the group together whether someone is cooking or watching the game.



    Smart TVs are set up in all bedrooms and the living room. A starter supply of coffee, creamer, sweetener, decaf, and tea is provided, along with hand soaps, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, non-stick cooking spray, and salt and pepper — starter amounts only, none replenished.



    All beds come with clean, crisp white towels and linens, and the tankless water heater keeps hot showers coming without a wait. One honest note: the kitchen is well-stocked but not large, and there is no dishwasher a small drawback.

    Walk to Coral Reef, Big Donkey Mexican Cantina, Blackbeard’s, and more — fish from shore at the end of the street with your kiddos too.



    SLEEPING (Up to 10 Guests)

    The ground floor master bedroom has a King bed with an en suite full bath and a walk-in all-tile shower. Upstairs, the second bedroom has two full beds and the third bedroom — the bunkroom — has two built-in queen-sized bunks. The two upstairs bedrooms share a jack-and-jill full bath with a walk-in tile shower, so neither room needs a hallway trip to reach it. An airbed with pump is also provided if the group has teens with friends, etc. The 10-guest count includes infants and babies.



    THE OUTDOORS

    There is a small space in front of the townhome to step outside and decompress. The complex has a small fenced pool with lounge chairs, and pool heat is available from November through April for an additional fee — full details in the Policies section below.

    The community (private to complex) are charcoal BBQ pits that are available by the street on a first-come, first-serve basis; bring your own charcoal. Note - we do not provide beach gear, but a beach vendor rents chairs and an umbrella for $45 cash per day with no advance booking needed.



    PARKING

    Two off-street parking spaces are included at no cost — a golf cart counts as one vehicle. Additional street parking is available nearby. Parking is always free here, unlike the hotels on the island that charge for every car.

    High-speed WiFi is included throughout the townhome. Spectrum is the only provider on the island and can be unreliable at times — bring a personal hotspot if you have must-do remote work.

    If the SouthPadreTrips network is not appearing, a power outage likely reset the router; the factory login is on a sticker on top of the unit, and a quick unplug-and-replug usually brings it back.



    PETS

    Up to 2 pets are welcome for a small additional fee. Please read all house rules carefully before booking if you are bringing an animal. Pets are not allowed in the common pool area, may not be on furniture, and may not be left alone to bark. Please clean up after your pets do-doo or a charge will apply :) Undisclosed pets will result in eviction, please be fair on disclosing..

    We have all units here and others nearby — if your group needs more than one townhome, just ask. We would love to help.



    DISCOUNTS — JUST ASK

    Reduced rates for off-season stays (September 2 – December 22), veterans and active military, and current Texas tackle football coaches at any level — we coached in the Lake Travis and Westlake youth programs for over 19 seasons. Send a message and ask. GO CAVS!



    POLICIES

    Primary guest must be 23 or older and must be present at check-in. If you are under 23, contact us before booking — exceptions are sometimes possible with additional requirements, but not guaranteed. A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before check-in; door codes are not released without both.

    Strict cancellation policy applies. No unregistered guests, no extra vehicles. No smoking, no parties, no loud music at any time. This is not a party property and is security patrolled at night

    Pool heat is available for $25 per day, charged after booking. You must agree to pay for the full duration of your stay. The pool can take up to to 8 hours to reach temperature, so requesting heat the day before arrival may be a suggestion. Below 65°F outside, adequate heating is unlikely.

Across the street, you'll find the serene Laguna Madre Bay, perfect for fishing or simply enjoying the tranquil waterside views. For dining, you're within walking distance of popular spots like Coral Reef, Big Donkey Mexican Cantina, and Blackbeard’s, offering a variety of cuisines to satisfy every craving. Explore local shops and boutiques nearby for souvenirs or beach essentials. Enjoy the convenience of a prime location, placing you close to both the beach and a range of dining and entertainment options, all within easy reach from your townhome.



    Getting Around:

    Getting around South Padre Island is easy, and you'll find convenient options for transportation. Free parking is available for two vehicles at the townhome, and additional street parking is also readily available. For those arriving by air, the closest airport is Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), approximately a 30-40 minute drive away. While public transportation on the island is limited, ride-sharing services are available. Consider using a golf cart, a popular way to explore the island, which counts as one vehicle for parking purposes. Enjoy the freedom to explore the area at your own pace!



    Other Things to Note:

    Please note: Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. A signed digital rental agreement and a valid photo ID are required before receiving the door code. The primary guest must be 25 or older. No smoking, parties, or loud music are allowed. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 9 AM. Up to two pets are welcome for a fee; pets must not be left alone and must be cleaned up after. Pool heat is available for an extra charge. Two parking spaces are provided. For stays longer than two nights, complimentary linen and towel exchange is available at the South Padre Trips office. Starter supplies of essentials are provided, but not replenished. Please ensure the thermostat is set to 78 degrees, all dishes are washed, and trash is removed upon checkout.
