Formerly known as the Wayside Inn this bright and spacious 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath house has been recently renovated and boosts new stylish furnishings , a large wraparound porch…a great place to have your morning coffee or evening drink.

The house was built in the late 1800s and was previously owned by a retired lighthouse keeper. The location of our home makes it unique as you can literally walk across the road to get your morning coffee and baked goods at Milagro Coffee Bar, get your haircut at the local salon, grab a bottle of wine for dinner at the local liquor store and get some fresh cut flowers at the florist. The popular Charlotte Rhodes Butterfly Garden overlooking Norwood Cove is also across the street.

We are within walking distance to the downtown Southwest Harbor shops & restaurants as well as the Causeway Club (golf, tennis, squash, pickle ball). We are minutes away from many Acadia National Park hiking trails. The Bass Harbor Light House and Seawall are about a 10 minute drive and Bar Harbor Village about a 20 minute drive.

If downtown noises bother please be sure to reserve something outside of town as living within the Village of Southwest Harbor is charming and convenient when it comes to walking to services, it does also come with typical noises (vehicles, delivery trucks, cyclists, pedestrians).

Please, note the stairs going up to the second floor are steep and could be a safety issue for families with toddlers.
