“The rooms are not very sound proof as next to us you could hear their tv going and talking til late. This made it difficult to just relax with a book I was trying to read”

“Excellent accommodation in great location on the Derwent river. ”

“Beautiful view in a very large old cottage. Lots of rooms with two bathrooms & comfortable beds & warm heating”

“Room was clean and with good heating, enough clothe hangers and shelves to put bags and things on. Kitchen was basic but not enough cutlery to share with other guests. Would be good to have hand dryer or paper towels in the toilet/bathroom. Otherwise very convenient location for entry into the Lake Pedder/Gordon area and close to Mt Field National Park.”

“Very spacious room which was beautifully presented and had everything we needed ”

“Charming place right in the middle of town. Very quiet at night. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. Bed comfy with quality linen. Staff lovely and very helpful. Great breakfast downstairs in the cafe below.”

“Staff at check in was super helpful- beautiful views from the bar and restaurant”

“A very pleasant overnight stay. Very well equipped, you could cook if you wanted but we headed down to the pub which was excellent value.Everything you needed was in the accomodation, would highly recommend.”

“Spent one night, property was very nice. Only one problem was the light shining through the glass window above door. Needs to be blacked out.”

“Beautiful property and bungalow. Super clean and had everything we needed.”

“La cama es cómoda y tiene esterillas eléctricas. Esperábamos encontar una habitación en mucho peor estado, pero nos sorprendió, aunque lis muebles son antiguos , todo está muy limpio. El personal es amable y no está a mucha distancia del centro. La única pega es que cierra a las 20h la recepción.... También hay que pensar que a partir de esta hora poco queda abierto en el pueblo.”

“Great cabin, fantastic food and the most helpful team possible. So much so, we are planning to return next year for a longer stay and even do the Overland track. Thank you Michael and Alex- it was a joy to meet you ⭐️”

“Loved the playground”

“Everything was clean and tidy, the host was lovely, and the house and grounds were stunning.”

“The staff are kind, welcoming and everything you'd hope for when travelling to such a destination. I came here for a recharge, and achieved it Leah, and team were exceptional, I hope your next adventures are as good as mine.”

“Some mould noted on the bathroom ceiling . Nice olive oil body wash& shampoo / conditioner to use in bathroom . My husband noted a stale smell around toilet”

“It was a perfect stop for the night before the train ride. No bells or whistles but it didn’t job perfectly and our bed was so comfortable”
