Great location and tons of space

The property has easy access to the beach and is not in a super crowded area. House has tons of space and allows privacy for different groups within the house. Top floor has great views othocean

Family Gathering

The house is beautiful andnplenty of space for our group of 11 people. The managing company were excellent with communication. You can hear the waves of the beach and great breezes even thiugh you are ine house away from beachfront. The reason why this is not a top rating is that the living space furniture was stained, carpet stains, chair backs with holes. This is pet friendly as to why we chose it, but living space smelled like a musty dog. Hurrican Milton came through the week prior and the management company called to say the i side was fine but exterior soffits and ceili g fans were torn away. We k ew this going in but the soffit that remained flapped in the wi d and kept some people up as their bedrooms backed up to the porches. Also, picture shows a one story house Cross from it with clear views of the beach, when in reality there is a 3 story home being built in its place. So obstructed view straight on. Overall great weekeknd for the family, but we had to refresh with febreeze when we arrived!

Family Summer Vacation 2024

Lovely home- lots of room for the family and two little ones. It met our needs. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The view was great! Beach access was good too. Couple of things I would recommend- the living room furniture was soiled and dirty- so was the rug. The rug had large stains and very dirty - we have an 8 month old that is crawling-I didn’t want her on the rug. Not enough towels- had to purchase detergent to wash them so we would have clean ones for the week. Otherwise - good place!

Fantastic property but....

My family and I stayed at this property for 5 days and we had a great time. The property was clean and enjoyable. However, there were a few things that made for small inconveniences and one major thing which is the reason we won't be coming back to this property for our next family vacation to St. Augustine. The reason my family and I will not be coming back to this property is because after my family and I returned home, the management company contacted me saying that they charged my card $320 extra dollars because they found "evidence" of us having pets in the house during our stay. We never had any animals or pets in the house during our stay. I emailed the management company back asking for additional information, explaining we never had any pets in the house and that I was not happy with them charging my card without them contacting me first and the property management company simply never responded. There were cameras in the house that the company could have checked to verify we never had pets in the house but they chose to lose my continued business over $320 of fraudulent fees. Bad customer service. The small inconveniences: The house has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 12, however the property management company only left us one roll of paper towels and one dishwasher pod for our entire stay. I'm not suggesting that this ruined our trip but we paid a significant amount of money for this property and expected a bit more from the management company on this front.

Beautiful Beach House with a minor hiccup

The house was beautiful and just as advertised for the most part. We stayed 5 weeks with my husband periodically flying back to Iowa to work as he hasn’t retired, yet. I had the place to myself (& Gilmore our Frenchie) with each of our adult daughters taking a week to visit with the grandchildren ages 8 mths, 4, 14 & 16. Everyone enjoyed the area and of course the easy access to the beach. The only sour note was the neighbor woman that lived directly across Pelican way. A very unhappy person. Made sure I knew not to “come near her property or she will call the police and I do not have to warn you. This is your warning!” Told my daughter she needed to go on a treadmill & would often make an “off comment” whenever any of us were outside. Caught site of her with binoculars pointed @ the house, even! The day we drove home, we hooked up a U Haul trailer to our van to bring things we had stored in a storage unit in St Augustine. We parked it at the end of the drive to load what I had brought down at the start of the vacay and she stood on her deck with her phone and said, “I’m videoing you so I will have this if you are stealing from that house” I can understand why no one would want to live near her full time…better to have renters! Lol

Wonderful and Clean!

This home was such a wonderful place to stay for our family and we are so glad we booked it! The beds were comfortable and the views were amazing! It was an easy, short walk to the beach and enjoyed spending time on the covered porches in the evenings. We had a great stay and I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a vacation rental!

Great Venue for a Family Reunion

This is a beautiful property with so many wonderful highlights! Location was unbeatable within a quiet family oriented neighborhood. Views of the Atlantic from the upper level were unsurpassed. Don't give this home a second thought...........Just book it!

Amazing location

Our stay was wonderful the property is beautiful the kitchen has top shelf appliances spent most of our time on the third floor enjoying the amazing view of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again

I enjoyed the sunrise every morning on the third floor. Gorgeous every day.

We had a great visit at Butler Beach. House was well equipped from the kitchen to the beach towels and toys in the garage. The only problem for my family was the parking. The driveway only had room for three vehicles. Since my family traveled from different areas, it was a problem for us. You could park in a commercial parking lot, but not knowing the area, it was a concern.

Great Place to stay

It was comfortable as we had extended family staying with us and the space allowed enough room spread out the sleeping arrangements and we had enough bathrooms for everyone to get ready to go out! Close to restaurants and other areas of interest. All in all a perfect place!

Accurate Listing

We really enjoyed our long weekend. The property is beautiful and description was very accurate. Had a brief issue with cleaners but it was resolved quickly. Neighbors do NOT like that there is a rental in their "working neighborhood" but we were not at the house very much. Our weekend weather wasn't the greatest for beach time so we took off on motorcycle. Overall great long weekend!

Our time at A Shore Thing

This home is amazing! We have stayed at several rental vacation properties and never have we felt so welcome. There are so many great things about this home they are too many to list. From the towels being laid out with individual use toiletries to the brand new appliances. Everything was perfect about this home. Also a shout out to Pie at Suncoast properties for a great check-in experience.

We stayed for 5 nights while attending a wedding close by. The property was more spacious than we anticipated with lots of room for grandparents, parents, and young children. We were provided everything we needed for our stay and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking our meals. The beach is just a short walk away, not requiring crossing of any busy streets. The views and sunrises are beautiful, and the area is serene.

Wonderful Property

Our family was in St. Augustine for the memorial of a loved one. Despite the circumstances, this was a perfect house. We were able to gather, laugh, and enjoy time together. Gretchen was especially fantastic .. she arranged to have a brand new pack & play delivered for our little nephew. We hope to return for much happier occasions in the future!

Lovely beach home

Property was lovely, clean, spacious, functional...perfect for life long friends of a certain age to spend quality time together; however it provided accommodations for each of us to “escape” to our own quiet space.

Amazing Property and Location

First off the pictures don’t do the house justice. It was more beautiful and spacious. Nice location with beautiful ocean views. Quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants and stores. The elevator was perfect because my elderly mother sometimes has to use a wheelchair. Being able to drive on the beach also insured she got a close look at the ocean. She loves sitting out on the balcony daily. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was spotless. Beds were comfortable. Master shower is heavenly. We had a smaller group than was planned but it worked out great because we had plenty of room to spread out. The cherries on top were being in a great location to see the SpaceX lift-off and learning a historic home where MLK Jr stayed is right across the street. The owner was very friendly telling us all about his new home. We will visit again.

Beautiful, clean and convenient

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach in this beautiful house. It was spotless. The house is spacious, well laid out, and beautifully appointed. Pedestrian access to the beach was just a couple of doors down and car access was just a couple of more doors down. (We used the cart for some trips, but when everyone was going at once, we piled everything in the car.) The beach was wide and uncrowded. The property is also conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, and St. Augustine. My only ding would be that the beach chairs, boogie boards, etc are not in good shape, and we had to purchase a few things. Also, the outdoor furniture on the uppermost deck (which I'm sure gets nearly constant use) needs refreshing. But no complaints! Thanks for a lovely time!

A shore thing house

The property was beautiful as well as the location. Communication with the property manager was poor. There was miscommunication between the messages received from Vrbo and what the property manager had to say and then the property manager wouldn’t respond in a timely manner when what she said didn’t happen. The listing says it could house 14 which it had beds for but not enough linens/wash clothes. We ended up buying what we needed and left it for the next people. The light/ceiling fan fixture in the bunk bedroom did not work and was reported to the property manager the next morning after arrival and was never fixed. It appeared as if it was missing the light bulb needed but was nothing that could be bought cheaply at the store. So the kids didn’t have any light in their room the whole week we stayed. The house was clean, the neighborhood was quiet, the beach was family friendly and clean. There were all kinds of games to keep the kids occupied. We brought a baby gate fir the 18 month old and used the elevator to get to and from the third floor so the other kids wouldn’t scratch up the walls. The view of the ocean was amazing! Overall this was a wonderful place to vacation!
