We had such an amazing stay at the Sunset & Sand Retreat! My husband, our son & his wife & our neighbors turned family, all had plenty of room & enjoyed all the amenities along with the pool & beach within walking distance, in between the wedding festivities! The location is quiet and peaceful, but still close to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing vacation home! Already looking forward to returning!

We had a fantastic time at Sunset & Sand! The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the beach access on 23rd Street was absolutely incredible! We enjoyed the pool, the spacious house and relaxing atmosphere. The house was well-equipped, spacious and clean. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation rental.

Vilano Beach Newbies

This was our first trip to Vilano Beach. David, the house owner was very responsive to every question and need of ours. He even let us in the house 2 hours early! Andy, his property manager, was also very responsive. The street the house is on is very safe and quiet. Because it dead-ends at A1A, suggest you go over 2 blocks to 23rd street where there is a beach access and places next to the street to park your car or golf cart directly across from the beach access. The heated pool was great. The only suggestion for improvement would be to provide shade umbrellas for the back patio around the pool. The backyard faces north and gets sun most of the day.

St. Augustine Family Trip

This house was amazing. It was in a great location, it was described perfectly, and it had everything we needed. If we come back would definitely stay here again.I really appreciated that they had the coffee pods and all the needed shower items. David provided all the necessary information for check in and for check out. This trip was just perfect. The house was clean and had all the utensils and items to cook. My kids loved the pool and we loved all the room this house had.

Beautiful home on Vilano beach

The home was beautiful with amenities as listed. Walks to the beach were beautiful. Having one bedroom downstairs for seniors would be great. The master bedroom was comfortable but the other beds were not so comfortable and creaked Everytime we tossed and turned. Overall good place at a good price.

Quaint Adorable

This house was awesome. We had four couples in it and had plenty of room. The house came well stocked and had very comfortable beds. Pool was an added bonus. Excellent location too.

Wedding/family visit

My daughter and her family traveled to the area for a sorority sister's wedding and her dad and I and 2 aunts tagged along! My sister was able to visit from Jacksonville for the week as well!!! We got to visit with our nieces and nephews for a couple of hours as an added bonus!!! We loved the pool!!! The house was perfect, could not have asked for better accommodations!!!

Great home

This home was exactly as described in the listing. It was bigger/more spacious than expected. It was a 10 minute walk (max) to the beach, and the street was secluded enough to be quiet at night (great for small kids / fur babies ... no traffic!). The owner was great - we didn't have any issues, but their communication before, during, after was fantastic - very welcoming. They also gave great recommendations for local attractions / places to eat. Check-in and out process was a breeze.

Cozy spot, quiet neighborhood

Overall this home was fantastic! The pool addition was a first for us and we are forever ruined in a good way to have one at every beach vacation. Owners were mostly prompt in their communication and definitely helpful and friendly. There was a delay in check in details, but VRBO was helpful to put us in touch with owner directly. A few things to note: downstairs railway room with bunks, the door slides on wheels and doesn’t provide a seal so light/noise are easily heard. If it’s for kids who don’t need full privacy or for people who sleep heavy this is not problem. I believe the listing mentioned being close to beach and river side, which it is wonderfully located to beach with just a few blocks walk! Or a city park 1 block further with a sky bridge. However, the River access point is narrow and hits a private property so really you can go down to a bench to see sunset and scramble on rocks to access riverside when tide is out. This is a bummer as we may have stayed south of st. Augustine to allow for both and inland and a beach side access point in the event the waves were too big for our kids. This was the case for us later in the week when surf was high and there was a red flag warning. We ended up driving 30 minutes down to Mantzas river opening and swimming in the calm waters there. However, there were still people on beach in the water so if you are confident in swimming and have older children, this would also not be an issue. Overall, this home suited our needs.

Cute house & great location

House is very nicely decorated and spacious. Short walk to beach. Easy check in/ out process and host communicates well. Pool is nicely heated! Had a great time with family.
