I rented this home as a place for my two aunt/uncle couples to stay while in town for my dad's surprise birthday party. The location was perfect and the property was amazing! It was close to everything we needed and was beautifully maintained. The host had great communication until it was actually time for check-in. Upon arrival at the property, the front door of the home was found wide-open. I immediately tried calling the host to inform her and to see how we should proceed. She didn't answer. My uncle and I are both ex-military so we checked the house ourselves and found no one inside and no obvious signs anything had been disturbed so we unloaded their stuff and carried on with our weekend. That phone call/check-in was 6 days ago and I've still not heard anything from the host. Not a "I'm glad everything was okay" or "Was the property okay" or even any reminders about checkout. Zero communication. Otherwise, the stay was great.

Host very responsive, went over and above to be sure of our happiness!! extremely happy for pet friendly, peaceful screened patio with fans, fire pit and loving the nature of seeing mama deer and her babies in the morning and evenings. Great location, clean, well appointed home. It was just right for three adults.We found lots of great restaurants nearby and in historic district. Very convenient and oh so quiet. I loved the metal roof with all the rain and storms such a great hoe. Hosts were available for questions and not intrusive. A great stay

Just what we wanted !

Awesome stay!

We had such a nice time in this house. Plenty of space for 6 people. Rachel was quick to reply to texts when we needed her. Rooms were big and clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Location of the house was perfect between historical downtown St Augustine and the beach

Family Get Away

This house has everything listed and so much more! In a quiet neighborhood that's a short ride to both the beach and historic downtown. The host provided beach extras: beach towels, sand toys, beach chairs, and an umbrella. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a food processor, crock pot, instapot, and air fryer. There is a portable crib for your little one. This will be our go to for all future visits!

Wonderful place to stay

First off- the owners are super responsive & helpful! I can’t say enough good about this part. They were very patient with my questions of the house & the area since we had never been to the area & they were super quick to return my messages. They sent recommendations on restaurants, beaches, & attractions which helped us to plan our trip ahead of time. The house is in a neighborhood so houses are a little close together, but never had any issues with any of the neighbors. The neighborhood is quiet & not too busy streets. It’s about 20 min drive to some good attractions. We had 7 beautiful deer that came right up in the back yard one day. House was clean, nice furniture & appliances, & overall a good place to stay. It had a small screened porch in front & another screened porch on the back with a fenced in area for your pet to go out & not worry about them running off- liked that part too. Beds were comfy. Couches were comfy, but one of our teens said futon wasn’t as comfy as the couch itself. Had 3 bedrooms- 1 with a king size bed & tv, 1 with a queen size bed, & 1 with 2 twin sized beds. The owner even put an extra tv in one of the bedrooms so that our teens could have a tv to watch while there. Had 2 bathrooms- both w/ standard sized tub/shower combo. Driveway was big enough for 2 vehicles & a boat we brought. Overall a great stay & we would definitely stay again there! Big thank you to the owners who went above & beyond to help us & make our stay a great one!

A home far away your home!

As soon as we got it into the house, we knew that everything would be perfect for our stay. Well organized, with a relaxing backyard and barbecue to spend the afternoon or brunch like we did. Rachel (the host) is very polite and even provided us information and tips to make it easy for us in order to explore the city. Don't hesitate to book Wilwood Retreat, you're not going to regret it!

Summer vacay

We had a great time, the house is lovely. Supplied with lots of things other houses we have stayed at don’t have. Close to lots of thugs to do, comfortable furniture, a big dinning room table for all of us to eat together. The host was wonderful, very responsive to our questions. We shopped, went to the beach, played games, it was great!!

Great time at Wildwood

Upon arrival, our check in process was super easy. Wildwood had everything we needed and then some, it was great having the extra toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods for use. A big THANK YOU! My family and I have stayed in numerous vrbo's and Wildwood Retreat is first home to not only supply but supply enough for the week. Having the option for a fence for our fur baby was a nice addition. We also enjoyed how close the home was to everything and we absolutely loved the little strip mall with Cold Cow ice cream, Mojo's tacos and Antonio's pizza. These are at end of Wildwood Rd across street. Highly recommend for a quick bite and ice cream every night. Five stars all around.

Host was a bit hateful at times

I brought up a few issues and did so in a nice, polite manner, but it seems the host took offense to each issue, personally because her responses were terse and a bit hateful at times. It is what it is, but next time, just tell me without being hateful. It’s annoying when people do that.

Nice property, well maintained. Note on fireplace mantel to not leave food out due to critters.? We did not leave any food but still saw a bug to kill. I would suggest a full length mirror added to one of the bedrooms.. close to pool and beach within easy drive. Nice screened porch in back. We did see three deer one early morning. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place in a great location

We had a wonderful time staying here while vacationing St. Augustine. The home was exactly as described in a nice quiet neighborhood. A very clean home, with everything you need to feel at home. The owner Rachel was very informative, and quick to respond. The location is just minutes away from downtown and the beach. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit this amazing vacation destination.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable

Our family of 4 adults and our dog stayed at this beautiful home. It was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds, very roomy for the whole family, nice outdoor space and alot of nice updates. Convenient to the beach and downtown. Cool wildlife. We even saw an owl. Check in was easy and the property owner is readily available and prompt in responding. We really loved our stay.
