This was a horror show and the property is not safe for human occupancy. We arrived to find that the picture window on the front of the house was boarded up. The stairs to the 2nd floor were dangerously narrow and steep. There was no toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, cleaning items or drinking cups. The kitchen cabinets contained construction debris from a recent renovation. One of the bedrooms had a broken dresser and only two paper thin, flat pillows. The windows were all sealed shut and could not be opened. The “porch” overlooks a dilapidated, overgrown rear yard that abuts an alley with a dumpster. The year was scattered with rusty scrap metal, food refuse and an old tire. A leak from the second-floor shower dripped all over the kitchen. There was no Wi-fi or TV. The smoke alarms didn’t have batteries. The central A/C could not be regulated and had a thermostat that flashed “low power.” The host never returned my calls during our stay. She was clearly ill-equipped to manage any kind of property. I wasted more than five hours on multiple calls with VRBO customer support trying to resolve everything to no avail. It was not until after we checked out of the property that VRBO took any action to refund some of my money. Future guests should be forewarned about this property and this host should be prohibited from using the VRBO platform.
