6/10
Our stay was from June 26th through June 29th. On our arrival to the check in location at Coral Estates we were met by the friendliest staff. The check-in process was quick and easy and then we were driven up to the residence. The first thing that caught me off guard was that we were given a limit on the amount of electricity we could use, which was given to us at check-in. I had no reference point to go by on how much electricity it would take to make the house comfortable every day so I was a little concerned. When we entered the house, it was beautiful and immaculately clean. However, it was very warm inside. The house had A/C units in the living room and each bedroom, which we were advised to turn off every time we left he house. The patio and pool area were great and we had a spectacular view of the ocean. After checking in we began to unpack and then made a startling discovery. The windows in the house and bedrooms were wooden shutters, but did not have any glass. So basically, there was no barrier to keep the warm air out and the cold air in. When the shutters were open we could put our hands straight outside. The entire house had those wooden shutters so it never really cooled off and the house was hot every time we returned from our daily activities. Beautiful, clean home in a great location, but we would not stay here again. It seems most house in this area were built similarly with the wooden shutters.
