The location of this unit was great, and the view spectacular. I would have rated the unit a 5, but there were some important items that I discussed with the owner (distinct odor that permeated the lower level, a broken & hazardous glass table, and living room furniture different than in the VRBO pictures that was only able to accommodate 2 people versus 7 as advertised) that could have been handled differently to make our stay what we had envisioned when we chose the unit over other available condos. We brought these issues to the owner's attention the morning after our arrival and, while she surprisingly offered for us to immediately vacate the property for a full refund, neither leaving the unit nor a full refund was our hope in opening communications with her. We really did appreciate the later check-out she agreed to, as we had been requesting this for several weeks and had not heard back.
I will return to Sapphire without question, but this experience has taught me to pay more attention to reviews that highlight owners that attempt to find solutions to guest concerns and issues, and that focus less on defending why those issues exist.
