Hi I'm will major and I wanted to say I enjoyed my trip to St. Thomas and my stay at the sapphire but one thing I didn't appreciate was treatment from certain staff. The night before my departure I wanted to enjoy my lasts few hours night swimming with my lady and I did up until about 9 pm, I was getting ready to exit the pool area in the back and a security guard approached me, remind you my lady just left the pool area to go back to the room and he told her have a goodnight. As I'm almost exiting the pool he proceeds to approach me and ask me, "what room am I staying in", I reply "Why do you ask?" He says, "I'm security that's why, what number room are you in", I realize he's not asking as if I'm a paying guest and he is "concerned" with my wellbeing he was more so asking as if I'm trespassing the property, to my discernment. He proceeds to ask and I tell him a number, he says "well you are no longer a guest at the sapphire and are not welcomed on the premises and you need to leave". Baffled, I remembered I leave the next day and told him "I am a guest here and I will be leaving now" to avoid further confrontation. I then asked for his name and left the area, I was very distraught and angry at his approach to me, especially since I was well within my right to be there because the pools are open until 10 PM. It could have been language/dialogue barrier, but it couldn't help but feel racial/enviously motivated. Either way he needs better training or a vacay himself, thanks.
