The property is at the best spot to stay in Steele. You will be walking distance from the only food options in town other than the local vets building- Coffee Cup truck stop, which has a Subway, Pizza Hut, Caribou Coffee and Cinnabon. The rooms were modest but clean, the showers ran hot, and the breakfast and coffee provided were decent. The only MASSIVE issue is the absolutely belligerent front desk host/manager/owner? Don't bother filling out the hotel's prompts for pre check in, which includes giving out your personal info, because he will quite literally yell at you that he does not care what the Cobblestone website/texts/emails say, he will not honor any of it. He says there are many Cobblestones, and this one is his and "online is different". This hotel is run by someone that knows that you have zero other options in the area, so you can't do anything about it except accept your fate. It's a pity, because the rest of the staff seemed incredibly friendly and everyone in town was absolutely lovely.

The host was extremely rude. I prepaid for our room and he still gave up my room and gave me a single instead of a double (I had three people with me). So, we all decided to sleep together in the same bed :)

The bed was very comfortable. The room and public areas were sparkling clean! It was in the middle of nowhere in that there weren’t any restaurants and it was right off the highway. I if you’re driving by Steele, it’s a great place to stay!

This was a find! A pleasant, spotless room with all standard amenities in a remote region of ND with very few services. The building was nice and new and had mini versions of all facilities such as breakfast, exercise room, and lounge. There's also a wonderful little travel plaza just steps away. The only problem was dragging my luggage up a flight of stairs. If this is an issue for you, request a first floor room.

It’s location. I did not appreciate being charged 50.00 for my two little dogs … so called cleaning fee!!They must have to clean it twice for that. Makes me sad!

Cleanest room I’ve stayed in. I noticed the pillow cases were luxurious of highest quality linen. The hotel and rooms had no smell which is an A I often gag at the smell of disinfectant sprays or febreeze smells, which is actually a sign of a dirty room. I would definitely stay at this place again.

We apologize for the confusion with the pre-check in process and the issue with the pet fee. We have since had a meeting to resolve the incorrect information that was found on the site during that precheck in. Even though it says contactless we still want to ensure we get the correct information for your stay and ensure we have a way to contact you in case something is left behind. Our property only has 4 approved pet rooms and with the new employees not having access to your upsell request you were checked into one of our non pet rooms. We are working hard to resolve the mentioned issues. Some of the staff was not equipped with access to the program to even view your information to see you added the upsell of having a pet. We hope to prevent other guest from getting so upset that they throw money in the employees face, as they were just as confused as you were. We hope with the updated corrections to this process and getting the staff properly trained you consider giving us the opportunity to make this right. We hope you have a blessed day and travel safely.

My daughter and I were initially very pleased with the appearance of the property and the friendly greeting we were given upon arrival. When we got to our room we noticed the TV was not working and moved to another room where it worked. I thought the bed was lumpy and pillows were hard. The shower the next morning had VERY slow drain and by the end I was standing in a lake. Also the shower head should have been replaced long ago. I would not recommend this hotel until some needed work is done to update some things. Staff was great!

My card was charged $93 more after the room was already paid for. We got there at 11:00pm and left at 6:00 and were charged double the room price.

Good catch, your right, your card was accidently charged twice. I was able to get that corrected for you. Accidents do happen and a call directly would have gotten a credit back to you sooner. Our check in time is 4pm and check out is 11am. We hope you stay again.
