A place to stay in Stowe- but not what we expected….I think it would be great with a little bit of improvement. The good stuff: clean, dog friendly, and great location. The bad: The bed was Horribly uncomfortable, the refrigerator door is backwards, no oven, no light switch in the kitchen, ghetto bathroom lights need replacing, main light fixture shades need to be cleaned (dead flies), real plants would be much more welcoming (plastic plants-ummm)….and last but certainly not least- the heat was on the entire stay (not by choice)….

The place and location worked out great for a long weekend getaway. The accommodations were what was needed, nothing fancy but just warm (it was -17 one night) and comfortable.

The apartment reeked of weed! It made us sick! I would not was waste your money staying with this place. Guest service answered quickly but didn’t fix the problem. The apartment was gross with mouse droppings in the bathroom and weed smell and residue covered everything.

Quaint little cabin that is just outside of Stowe, but within driving distance of hikes, breweries and other towns. Everything we needed and some.

Nice location outside of town, good privacy & quiet. It has basic accommodations. We enjoyed biking on the Stowe Recreation Path, it's just 3 minutes down the road. I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. There's a flight of stairs leading to the unit also the shower access is challenging.

Nice and quiet. “Physically” clean/neat,BUT, terrible/nauseating odor mainly in entrance way. Beyond a simple musty/stale odor. Reminded me of when an office I worked at had dead mice.Better upstairs in the apartment, but noticeable. Better with opening all the windows- left for the evening. It got somewhat better upstairs by the next morning; left the windows open all night. Never resolved in stairwell. We had minimal time at unit and had contacted Vacassa. Never really resolved, totally, but got through the stay. Also, had a bear get into the garage under our unit and spew garbage that was stored there. Vacassa notified and had local crew come and clean-up by the afternoon.

Perfect weekend accommodation for getaway for 2

Pictures and description are spot on. Yes this is a small rental but it was perfect for our short getaway. Extremely clean and tidy, bed was comfy and kitchenette was spotless. View into blooming spring woods was gorgeous and plenty of birds to watch. Only improvements could be a full length mirror and salt and pepper shakers.

Great stay

Excellent location in Stowe, pretty bare bones place but was ok overall. Could have used some curtains on the windows for privacy. It smelled pretty heavily of weed upon arriving and at night. It was from the property next to us.

Need a bigger sign at the entrance of the property. Driveway has a big pothole. Carpeting needs to be replaced with stain on it. Bathroom is small & dated. It’s hard to get in & out of the shower stall since it’s elevated about a foot from the floor however there’s a foot stool that you can use.

Poor quality - Not as expected

The location of the apartment was great. However, the quality of apartment itself was lower than what we expected. It smelled moldy and was dirty (especially the carpet that was everywhere, even in the kitchen). The apartment was extremely hot. There was no air conditioning and only one of the two fans provided was working. There were no curtains in any of the windows, so no privacy and no way to keep the apartment cool during the day, and lots of light in the morning. We had issues with the toilet as soon as we arrived (it didn’t flush well), and it was not working at all after 2 days. The plunger provided was completely broken so we had to message the host. Our stay in the Edson Hill apartment was not up to our standards and we do not recommend it. The host should invest in the apartment to make it more confortable and clean.

Look elsewhere

So was planning a weekend at Stowe, so I booked this property, was simply looking for 4 walls a roof and 2 beds. Expectations were set fairly low on what I was looking for, really just needed a crash pad. Showed up, futon (one of the beds I was looking for) was broken so I informed the host the following morning as we arrived late that night. I had to sleep on the floor due to this issue. I provided them photos of what I was dealing with as well as gave them permission to enter the property at anytime. To resolve this issue. They assured me this issue would be fixed promptly, that was not what happened. I ended up sleeping on the floor for the next 2 nights before someone showed up to “fix the issue.” Someone simply sawed the legs of the futon and made it into a box spring lol. I really wasn’t expecting much here but cmon. After we had left I tried to file for a refund in which they have only supplied me a “cleaning fee” refund of not even one night of my stay. Unfortunately this property seems to be owned by a greedy property management company that wants to take your money and run. Other issues with this place is that at night it sounds like there is critters in the walls and we did find a pile of rat droppings in the living room. Guess the cleaning fee was really put to good use! I really gave this owner several chances to redeem themselves so I would not have to leave a 1 star review however it does not seem like they care once so ever.

Close to Stowe, quiet property

Overall we had a good time! We used this property as solely a place to sleep and didn’t spend much time there but it was exactly as described. We would stay here again as a bargain location with a comfy bed.

As Advertised

First off, we were quite pleased with the accommodations after some concern after reading previous reviews. The unit does came as advertised; a small but very functional and clean apartment with a comfortable bed which was perfect for just my wife and I. While the temperatures did reach 80 degrees after days of rain in Stowe, the unit was very comfortable especially with the supplied floor fans. The shower does have a large step up to get in and out but we had no problems with architectural feature; we actually embraced its uniqueness. The place is close to town; restaurants, bars, groceries, and shopping. We recommend this unit for a no frills stay especially if you are going to out and about enjoying what the area has to offer.
