Beach Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay and the location was great! The house was clean and very nice. The one difficult thing was that my husband couldn’t sleep in the master bedroom because the air conditioner was very loud and made a noise that kept him up the first night so he slept on the couch for the rest of the time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd year staying at Better Twin. We love the location. Very short walk to the beach. The house layout works well for our family, the pool is great. Kitchen utensils and pots definitely need an upgrade, can barely open a can with the can opener. Not a sharp knife anywhere.

We love staying in surfside with it's quiet neighborhoods. The neighbors live all year round and were very nice. And I can't say enough how nice the family was that owned the home. We really hope to come back next February. And Garden City Realty is the best company to work with, thanks Robin!

Reviewer Comments: Wonderful stay, description was accurate with regard to layout, amenities, location, etc. Everything was clean and well maintained, we had excellent customer service and the neighbors are great. We would definitely recommend to family or friends and would love to stay again. We had the unfortunate experience of being there through a hurricane and got lots of rain, but neighbors were very supportive and helpful and encouraged us to stay and we are very glad we did. We made the best of it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in the Better Twin for 10 days beginning Labor Day weekend. We thought the location was great. The home had a lot of room and was very well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen with the exception of cabinet space for food and snacks. As stated in other reviews the pantry smelled musty from the mop but we didn’t use it so it was fine. It does have a lot of steps so if you are elderly or can’t do steps the Better Twin would not be a good choice. We loved having a private pool however the tree on the other side of the fence kept it full of leaves. Also the upstairs was very hot when we arrived and we found it was due to a broken handle on the sliding patio door in the 2nd floor street side bedroom. It was left open a couple of inches and doesn’t lock. The door also had a large gap between the stationary side and sliding side. Large enough we stuffed a towel in it. After that the room cooled down. Also the carpet in that particular room had a couple stains. Looked like something spilled or pet had accident. I realize it is the end of the season and accidents happen but I just don’t know why the guest that had the spill or pet accident didn’t clean it up. Some people just don’t respect others property. Overall, the house was one of the best we have stayed in and would definitely rent again.

Family fun 2022

Reviewer Comments: Convenient location with just a short walk to the beach and restaurants.Very roomy house and nice pool area. Linen and towel package was a very nice feature included with rental. Sliding glass door in front bedroom did not close the whole way so afternoon heat came was supposed to be fixed but was not during our stay. Same bedroom has a loose toilet seat. Both were minimal issues and didn’t hamper our stay at all. We couldn’t get into our place until 4:45 which is the only negative about our stay. Keypad entry is great!! Would rent again.

Great Family Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we loved the house. It was closer to the beach than expected and equipped with everything needed to make it a wonderful vacation. This home offered plenty of space. The pool area was the favorite spot to relax after a long day on the beach. Surfside beach is our favorite spot due to not being as crowded and much cleaner beaches. Would recommend the Pirates Voyage while visiting especially with kids.

Our only concern was that there was a dirty mop stored in the pantry causing the pantry to smell dirty and like mildew. We didn't want to store food in there. It would be nice if the mop could be stored with the washer instead.

Better Twin should be named Never Again

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arriving at the house, we found the house not clean. Floors were filthy and comforters on bed smelled awful. We could not use grill all week because it was full of cigarettes and garbage. We called 3 times and got told housekeeping would be over and no one ever showed up. Two out of four showers were clogged and it took two days to get fixed. Dryer was broken and never got fixed. Pool light was broken and there were no outside lights around pool so that meant kids could not swim after dark. The most annoying thing is the smoke detector goes off randomly during all hours of the night. Maintenance never fixed these issues. Also the plumber was called for the sewer smell in the kitchen area. He came and could not find where it was coming from so he just left it to smell.The house is a very short walk to ocean and very cute house but needs some serious maintenance work done.
