A Week Full of "Serenity by the Sea"!!

Great for a larger family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house, ample parking. Easy beach access right across the street (other than the steep stairs that you have to navigate to get to beach). Enjoyed the pool everyday. Lots of room for a big family with 6 bedrooms. Only minor complaint is i could not find an outside electrical outlet to plug my golf cart charger in, finally found one in the roof of the underside of house. Would definitely have this on our list to come back to.

Great location

While the house itself was spacious, nice, and had a great location, we had some issues as soon as we arrived. Upon checking in, there were 2 large piles of dirty linens from previous stay, with no clean linens for us. They quickly dropped it off and we were left to make our own beds, line trash cans, put towels in the bathrooms, etc. Not the cleanest. Issue with bugs and they came and sprayed. There was somebody’s fake eyelashes in one of the bedrooms, stained up comforter in king bedroom, dirty pool, and piled up trash on arrival as well.

The Perfect Beach Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this house and location! 14 of us (7 adults and 7 'kids' 18 and under) fit nicely! The location was perfect...a SUPER quick walk across the street and you were crossing the dunes to a very uncrowded location on the beach! Pool was the perfect size! Nice and clean all around! 2 things to note: Fridge is a small fridge...not a full size like you're used to at home. House did not have the ice maker as listed nor an iron.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good. It was not very clean on arrival. Floors very dirty. Dead bugs in an outlet bug zapper. No access to a vacuum during the week. Broom provided not satisfactory. Drain in master bath clogged. Had to lift drain cover and remove tons of hair and dirt. Shower would not drain until I did this. Gross. Smoke detector in a main level bedroom hanging from ceiling. My husband screwed it back on. Definitely HVAC did not work to our desired level of cool. We felt it was being controlled off-site. Too many personal family photos for a rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family had the best time staying at Serenity by the Sea! The accommodations were perfect for all of us. With the pool and beach so close, everyone was able to enjoy doing what they prefer. I was very impressed with the house and all it had to offer! My one and only negative was the refrigerator is a little small and we were having issues with the freezer the whole time. I would suggest maybe adding an icemaker to the house.

The fridge was too small for a house of that size, so daily grocery trips were necessary. There was also a dorm size fridge upstairs that fit a few items. Grocery stores were only a few minutes by car though

The house was exactly what we were expecting based on the pictures which is not always the case. The wrap around porches with narrow spindles and a gate were perfect for the little ones in the group.

I would not recommend taking 15 adults. We had 13 adults and two 11-year old kids. I had to purchase an air mattress and we had two people sleeping on sofas.

The house could have been cleaned better but it’s typical for a vacation rental to not be cleaned to our standards. The location is wonderful and the furnishings are very good.

Beautiful Home poor housekeeping

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is beautiful but the house keeping and maintenance was poor. The location is awesome. It obviously had been only surfaced cleaned, if that. The floors were filthy. My kids feet were black after just being in the house barefoot for 10 minutes. We found a couples roaches while sweeping ourselves. There was no attention to detail when cleaning. The master bathroom drain had hair stopped up in it. The master bedroom comforter has someone else’s body fluids on it and it clearly had not been washed. The backyard grass was over grown. There were dirty broken pool floats under the stairs. The pictures of the pool area did not match what we experienced. Just General over all filthy. Very disappointed with the house keeping.We loved the layout, decorating, and space in the house. If it had been clean and kept up it would have been much more enjoyable.
