Private and fantastic view of Taal Lake

I was looking for a quiet place with great view of the Taal Lake so I could spend a couple of days with my elderly parents before returning the the US. I narrowed down my list to 3 places: the Taal Vista, Lake Hotel and Carmelence View. Boy am I glad I chose Carmelence View! I based my decision after reading the great reviews about the place. The room is very clean. The place is very private and you feel like you are in your own private rest house. The view of the Taal Lake is awesome! And again very private unlike the usual hotels. You will feel like you are one with nature (the fog will even enter your room when you have your floor to ceiling sliding windows open. I just wished the Family Room or Sky King was available because the units have better layout with stunning views of the lake. The staff is genuinely friendly and eager to help make your stay as wonderful as possible. I like the daily breakfast on the patio. Glo and Cristina are wonderful hosts! I consider them hosts because that's how you will feel around them. The place is also great for family reunions. I will definitely recommend this place and will surely be back.

1st day our locks at the door did not work amd they to call in maintenance to repair it. We were checked in the sky king suite. Breakfast was wonderful and staff were all very polite and accomodating. The bathtub had a malfunction that did not drain the water. There was also an occurance where the water stopped working momentarily. The view is to die for!

Great stay

We truly enjoyed ourselves in Tagaytay while staying at the Carmelence View. The staff was helpful and friendly. The views from the room overlooking Taal Lake and the Volcano were breath taking. Having a cup of coffee on the veranda with the clouds drifting by was an unforgettable experience. The horseback tour of the Volcano was especially memorable. I highly recommend staying at Carmelence View and the horse back tour of the volcano. A suggestion to travelers: Make sure you have enough cash on hand as the ATMs in the city were uncooperative to say the least.

Our stay was good and we have a great view from taal. I was under the weather I have stomach flu it was nice to now that they well give you a medicine if you tell them that you are not feeling well great service

vue exceptionnelle sur le lac propreté de la chambre bon petit déjeuner dans la chambre complètement vitrée où il faut fermer les stores pour ne pas être vu des autres chambres Bien qu' annoncé pas de verre de bienvenue pas de navette gratuite, prise electrique et éclairage pas commodes et aucun service de prestations (manque le the, le peignoir coffre fort hs) prix proposé pour le volcan dissuasif x2. Glass house in the sky overlooking Taal!

View is amazing from the room. Felt like living in a glass house and mirrors to emphasize the beauty of nature. Breakfast choices are all delicious and served on our glass table in our room.

I like that you can have privacy in this hotel. Very quiet and the best view of tagal volcano. Amenities are basic given the size of the property. Service of the staffs are excellent - very homey feel. Would come back again!

Hotel Carmelence Review

First of all, the place is hard to find. No proper signage leading to the entrance of the place. The staff are poorly presentable but hospitable. The room we stayed at needs a lot of improvement. It’s not worth what you paid for. Bathroom is not properly adequate what’s on the website. Great view is the only postive I can say about this place :(

Großartige Aussicht auf den Vulkansee

Die großartige Aussicht auf den Vulkansee ist das Beste am Hotel. Die Freundlichkeit das zweit beste. Aber sonst? Aber von Anfang an.... Das Hotel zu finden ist schon eine Kunst, selbst mit Wegbeschreibung in Google Maps....kein Schild weißt den Weg, kein Hinweis am Eingangstor, keine Beschriftung am Hotel. Uns empfing ein überaus freundliches Personal und das Zimmer war sehr schön, doch sauber war es nicht. Direkt nach unserer Ankunft eine Dusche genommen, den Badezimmerteppich einmal auf den Boden gelegt und gewendet, da Verkehrt herum und erschrocken...das Tuch war schmutzig. Nach der Dusche weiße Socken angezogen und durch das Zimmer gelaufen, diese waren danach schwarz. Ein benutzter Bademantel lag auf unserem Bett. Mit allen 3 Dingen zur Lobby und gefragt, warum alles was auf dem Boden liegt dreckig ist bzw. wird und wann denn das letzte mal geputzt wurde. Danach wurde das Zimmer direkt trocken gewischt und am nächsten Tag feucht. Eigentlich erwarte ich eine Zimmerreinigung, bevor ich ein Zimmer belege! Das Frühstück wird kostenfrei auf das Zimmer gebracht, ein wirklich toller Service. Hierzu ist die Frühstücksbestellung aber auf jeden Fall am Abend vorher abzugeben, damit es vorbereitet werden Kennung die gewünschte Uhrzeit anzugeben. So weit so gut. Das Frühstück kam nie zur gewünschten Zeit sondern erst nach erneuter Nachfrage. Teils wurden Bestellungen vergessen oder waren falsch. Die Speisen wie Würstchen, Omlett und Rührei waren immer kalt.

The placed not totally improved but they working on it. They need to improve the signage and the security like cctv or security guards... in generally, being a couple we’re so amazed with the perfect view of Mt. Taal in our room.. We are so very happy, because we are celebrating our anniversary... Promise that we will come back again !!!

We had a wonderful, relaxing overnight stay.

The staff are very polite, friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast were served on time and with nice food presentation. It's usually hard to please my teenage son when traveling, wifi is his life and of course, selection of food, so far he had no complaints.
