Don’t let the pictures and ratings fool you. You’re not getting a good deal on a decent hotel. Look at the 1-2 star reviews to get a realistic picture of this place. This hotel is more of a motel. It is old, rusted and falling apart. The first room they put us in reeked of mold. We couldn’t even stand being in it for 5 min before we went back to the front desk to ask for another room. Luckily the kind staff gave us a different room with breathable air. The mattress was hard and old. The blanket was old and thin. We didn’t use the closet as there’s fuzzy stuff growing in the space between the wall and the closet. The outside of the fridge had visible rust. We didn’t dare open it to see the inside. The bath tub was stained. We did not use the bidet function on the toilet because the sprayer hose was rusted. We didn’t dare touch our clothes or feet to the carpet. The place was undergoing renovations but there were no mention of it until after we paid for the non-refundable room. There’s a scrolling LED sign in the front of the building advertising hourly rates for the hotel. Luckily we didn’t hear any sounds from other rooms! The room was generally quiet, except you can hear every little sound in the hallway. The staff did a good job cleaning the room. The only other good thing is the amazing location. It is central to shopping and restaurants. The morning market is interesting. You’re 3 min walk from the orange and red line on the MRT.
