8/10
This is a very quirky charming hotel with a lovely cafe on the ground floor. Each room is unique and many have unusual features (for example the bath tub in the room we stayed in was on the glassed in porch reached by two steps--a handrail would have been nice). But in the world of anonymous cookie-cutter hotels it was a very charming change. Breakfast is not available with the room and is only possible if you order it the night before, but the cafe which opens at 10AM has excellent breakfast fare for purchase. Daihua Street is very busy, historic, and delightful during the day with lots of appealing shops but surprisingly empty at night.
