Great location & amazing property amenities

The condo is ideally located next to the beach and a ton of amazing restaurants. The pool on site is fantastic and the condo is very well appointed. I would return to this property again!

Great Location

Beautiful condo with an amazing view. Access to the pool and Diaria amenities was great. Resort feeling with everything in town only a short walk away.

Amazing property in Tamarindo

We had the joy of staying at this beautiful property in Tamarindo. I'll lay out the pros and cons below, but the pros FAR outweigh the cons and do not detract from our overall property's 5 star review. This is a must stay location and we would definitely book again, given the opportunity. Pros: Easy check-in/check-out Great Location Amazing View Amazing pool Easy Parking Very clean Quick communication and issue resolution from property manager. Cons Showers did not get hot Beds are VERY firm Living room furniture could use some updating Again, these cons did not detract from our overall 5 star perception. If you are looking in Tamarindo, this is the place to stay.

The perfect choice!

We had an amazing experience at Matapalo 501! The condo was fantastic and Krain was exceptional to work with. We loved the pool and ocean views from all of the balconies. The complex was quiet and perfect for our two small children. They loved playing in the pool and my husband and I loved the swim up bar. Communication with Krain was excellent and they made transportation to and from the airport a breeze and they were extremely accommodating when we experienced a delay in our flight. We would absolutely recommend them as they made our experience so great.

Needs a little updating

Beautiful unit and views! Love the pool. The balcony chairs need replacing. The drapery hardware is all broken. The place needs a blender. The bed pillows are very uncomfortable.

Overall great property. Our second stay at this unit. Great location, great property. Curtains need attention. Last year also noted. Not on track and had to use chip clips to close completely. Ceiling fan on main porch still not working. Last year had bird nest which has been removed, still unable to turn on. Bedroom with twins did not cool properly. Did not request repairs for these issues as not that big of a problem. Dishwasher leaked, mgmt. did send someone, but was not able to repair. Would still consider again for next trip as total property package is great. would also look at other properties at this location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing! Our family of five had a perfect stay. The condo, the property, location, grounds staff exceeded our expectations. We would love to return! It was clean, ready on time, everything was in perfect working order. Elevator worked perfectly. I was concerned because some of the reviews. However, everything was completely well maintained, well stocked, well appointed. Very spacious! The management responded to all inquiries before and during our stay. The pool/pool bar was similar to a resort. Location was right in the middle of town. A few heads up- bring coffee/coffee filters, expect several hours for air conditioning to cool the unit, toilets require multiple flushes, shower water pressure is low/doesn’t get very hot (all of this was fine, no complaints whatsoever... its nice to have realistic expectations). Grounds crew, cleaning staff and security were all very nice and friendly (i wanted to counter previous assertions to the contrary based on our family’s experience). There were monkeys in the trees of the property which was a delight! Walk across the street and you are on the beach! 🏖️ Also Hotel Diia across he steet has a wonderful brunch buffet we loved!

Krain Costa Rica left us stranded

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The instructions to check in were wrong. The phone number listed did not work. This was verified by the entire security team at the hotel & condo. Emails were not returned. After an hour and half we had no choice but to check into the hotels last room at an inflated price to cram into. Without a fridge we disposed of our groceries.We did however get a call the next day from a rep named Tony. He asured me they would take care of us but didnt confirm until 11:55am when we had already packed to leave and booked another hotel for the evening. He assured us a manger would call or email. THEY DID NOT> no stones. He assured they would refund us but as of today they have not. VERY DIAPPOINTED. The property was nice but the damages outweighed the stay. They also jammed us into a PDF one way rental agreement after they charged my card. Hasve lawyer read it and add a vacation damages clause or you may be out of pocckt like me. NOT HAPPY. We will be contacting the owner of the property next week to let him know how disappointed we were.

Disappointing....for the money

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the a 5th floor room with beautiful views. The Diria property is the best but this unit was sub-par for the cost. We have stayed in about 6 or 7 of the Diria Matapalo condos and this by far was the worst (except the views). Issues: toilets barely flush due to little pressure, 2 bathroom's shower heads were dangling hoses due to the clips being broken, air conditioner didn't cool the 3rd bedroom, bathroom soap dispensers were broken and dangling, bathroom towels were pretty much rags, family room couch was original 2012 and was saggy to the frame, the patio furniture is original 2012 and you are sitting on metal bars. We had to request more towels, drinkware and kitchen items to suit the unit being for 6 people as advertised. The property management's job is to advise the owner when the unit requires upgrades, replacements, amenities, etc. With this unit's rent going up by $1000's for 2025, we moved to another unit.

Great Diria Condo Mat #501

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a great experience with Krain. It was easy to book my condo through their website and responses from Krain were quick. I booked at Diria Condos Matapalo #501 in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. The condo was beautiful, big, plenty of bathroom space, comfortable beds, clean and the view was spectacular. There is 180 degree views since the apartment is on the end. The only problem is we couldn’t get the dishwasher to work. The location is perfect. In the middle of town close to everything! The person who helped me with my stay was Tony. He went over and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Tony helped us book a boat trip with Panache. It was a wonderful day & I recommend booking that boat on your stay. He arranged an airport pick up for us. Plus he gave us several recommendations for zipline tours. We communicated through What’s app and he responded fast even late at night. It was nice to have a local set up our excursions for a group of 15 so I wouldn’t have to waste vacation time doing it myself! On the last day of my vaca, 2 of us tested positive for Covid. We had to isolate for 5 days. He was very understanding and let us have a late check out so we could make arrangements for a place to stay to isolate. Overall, from start to finish Tony was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Book with Krain for Diria Condo Mat#501 and ask for Tony if you need help with anything. Thanks again. 10 star Rating!!!!

Reviewer Comments: Birds nest in the ceiling fan tells the story of lack of attention by the management company for readying the condo. No internet. A stove that was improperly installed and a real estate tour that never happened. Buyer beware.

Absolutely amazing!!!

All I can say is…wow! This condo is amazing! Clean, gorgeous, perfect. It has 6 balconies with the most wonderful views, especially the one with the 2 lounge chairs off the master bedroom. Checkin was super easy with the keyless entry. The condo is on the 5th floor which made the views perfect. The pool at the condo is huge, clean, warm…perfection. Plenty of lounge chairs and a few daybeds. We were there mid/end of April, it was not crowded. There is a swim up pool bar. The condo came with 6 beach towels which was really nice. The beach is 1/2 block and across the street. Everything in Tamarindo Beach is totally walkable. No need to even have a car. Transfers from Liberia are about $100 each way for 5 people. There is a market next door called El Mercandito: it is an outdoor food court with tons of options, a bar and music. So convenient! All of the restaurants were great in town. We especially loved the food at Pico and the fire show on the beach at El Be (it was around 6:45pm when we were there). Already thinking of booking this again for next year. You won’t be disappointed!

We spent 5 days in this lovely condo and enjoyed every minute of it. The condo is well done, view's are awesome and the amenities are excellent. Highly recommend!
